On the morning of May 11, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang and the National Assembly delegation from Hai Phong City attended a meeting with voters in Kien Thuy district, preparing for the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly.

Voters proposed that the National Assembly, the Government and the city have a synchronous mechanism and policy on land prices and land valuation methods to specify the principle of market-based valuation; simplify administrative procedures for environmental impact assessment of small-scale projects; provide specific guidance for the inter-level school model...

Voters also suggested reviewing the regional minimum wage, which has increased but still does not meet the living needs of workers; policies on accumulation and concentration; land; and supplementing regulations on voluntary social insurance participants receiving maternity and sickness benefits.

At the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the results that Hai Phong City has achieved since the beginning of the year, as the locality is always in the top of the country in terms of growth rate, especially the results of disbursement of public investment capital; State budget collection; many large projects have been started and inaugurated.

Thereby, the Deputy Prime Minister hopes that the city's leaders and people will continue to promote collective strength, in addition to economic development, they need to continue to care for people's spiritual life; continue to promote digital transformation; and ensure local security and order.

The meeting was held directly and online at 18 points in communes and towns of Kien Thuy district.

For Kien Thuy district, the Deputy Prime Minister hopes that the rapid completion of the coastal road project will be a good driving force for the locality to break through, rise up, continue to thoroughly resolve the clam-sand issue, and sustainably develop the marine economy.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the city's leadership to unite and all levels and sectors to closely coordinate; continue to promote bright spots in implementing social security, social order and safety, Project 06, and administrative unit arrangement.

"The government and people of Hai Phong City need to continue to unite and closely coordinate between all levels and sectors; not to allow factions and group interests to arise," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

The Deputy Prime Minister commented: "We are starting to prepare for Party Congresses at all levels; if we do not solve the planning problem in a democratic, systematic and scientific manner, we will fail and the goals set for the next term will certainly be difficult to achieve."

Voters of Kien Thuy district, Hai Phong city participated in giving opinions.

At the meeting, Hai Phong City Party Secretary Le Tien Chau received the Deputy Prime Minister's instructions and informed about some outstanding results on the city's socio-economic and foreign affairs situation in the first 4 months of 2024.

The Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee said that in the coming time, the city will focus on directing, proactively following and coordinating with relevant central agencies to review 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 45 of the Politburo on building and developing Hai Phong City to 2030, with a vision to 2045, in conjunction with the review of 3 years of implementing Resolution No. 35 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Hai Phong City.

Focus on leading and directing the preparation for organizing Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term towards the 17th City Party Congress. Determined to complete the state budget collection task assigned by the City People's Council.

Urgently complete the project to establish the Southern Coastal Economic Zone of Hai Phong. Accelerate the implementation of the following tasks: establish Thuy Nguyen City under Hai Phong City; establish An Duong District; and reorganize administrative units at district and commune levels in the 2023-2030 period.

Promote the promotion of tourism in Hai Phong and the World Natural Heritage of Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba archipelago. In the immediate future, focus on organizing the series of events of the Red Flamboyant Festival in 2024 of the city held on the evening of May 11.
