Vietnam U17 star makes shocking statement in opening match of World Cup qualifying tournament

Speaking about this, midfielder Dau Hong Phong said the team is facing some difficulties due to the hot weather in Saudi Arabia. However, U17 Vietnam still meets the requirements of the Coaching Board.

"We always try our best to implement the right tactics and training plan," midfielder Dau Hong Phong shared.

According to the schedule, on April 4, U17 Vietnam will play the opening match of the 2025 U17 Asian Cup against Australia.

Despite facing a strong opponent in the opening match, Dau Hong Phong is still confident in the ability of U17 Vietnam to win.

“The whole team is united to aim for victory against U17 Australia. We always want to win all 3 points in every match.

Personally, I also aim to fulfill my role well. If I have the opportunity to play, I want to contribute to help the team win," said the rising star of Hanoi Club.

At the 2025 AFC U17 Finals, Vietnam U17 fell into a very difficult group with the participation of UAE U17, Japan U17 and Australia U17.

According to the rules, teams in the same group will play a round robin to calculate points and rank. The two teams with the best results will win tickets to the next round.

At the same time, the two teams that passed the group stage of the 2025 AFC U17 Championship also won tickets to the final round of the U17 World Cup.
