Coach Kim Sang-sik wants the Vietnamese team to score many goals against Laos in the first half.

Speaking at a press conference before the match, coach Kim Sang-sik said that this is the first match of the Vietnam team in the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup and will be played at home, so the whole team has prepared well and hopes to score many goals, giving fans a good match.

The Vietnamese team has been well prepared for the match against the Lao team.

Evaluating the current squad, the Korean coach said that currently, the players are following the coaching staff's tactics well: "If I were to rate the players, I would give them 90/100. The whole team needs to continue to prepare well physically and mentally for the next matches. If there is progress in this aspect, the players will be able to demonstrate their abilities in the next stage."

In recent times, the Lao team has increased its strength by naturalizing 3 players. The ability of the away team was also demonstrated in the match against Sri Lanka on March 20. Despite losing 1-2 to Sri Lanka, the Lao team had a very good performance.

"Based on the analysis after the match with Sri Lanka, the coaching staff believes that, at the present time, the Laos team is probably stronger. The Vietnamese players will definitely not be allowed to be subjective and must focus in this opening match" - Coach Kim Sang-sik said.

The captain of the Vietnam team also emphasized that to pass the qualifying round, all matches are very important, especially the opening match. Regarding the number of goals, the Vietnam team scoring many goals will be a good condition to continue, however, the most important factor is the final victory.

Striker Nguyen Tien Linh added that the Vietnamese team is currently in good spirits and in good physical condition to prepare for the match against Laos. After the friendly match against Cambodia on March 19, the whole team has had the best preparation.

"My goal and the whole team's goal is nothing other than victory. The fact that the Vietnam team has just won the Asean Cup will be a motivation for the whole team to play better. For me personally, playing at Binh Duong Stadium will also be a motivation to play better and score more goals for the team" - Tien Linh shared.
