On the evening of January 9, Coach Kiatisak and his wife Asarapa Senamuang met with Mr. Duc. This meeting is said to be to finalize the future with HAGL after the news that he has transferred to the Hanoi Police Club.

According to the confirmation of the HAGL Club's leadership, Coach Kiatisak will leave the mountain town team immediately.

" In 2002, the boss came to my wedding and asked me to join HAGL. In 2024, I will still work for Mr. Duc no matter what decision he makes, " Coach Kiatisak posted on his personal page with a photo of the couple with Mr. Duc.

Previously, according to VTC News, Coach Kiatisak had not officially accepted to lead the Hanoi Police Club due to many off-field obligations with HAGL. However, the defending champion team had made an offer to the Thai coach.

When coach Kiatisak decided to leave HAGL, Mr. Thuy - as the sponsor - and Mr. Duc will appoint Mr. Vu Tien Thanh as the head coach of the mountain town team.

Previously, Coach Vu Tien Thanh took on the role of Technical Director of HAGL on December 24. This is the second position that the former coach of Ho Chi Minh City Club holds after taking on the role of Director of HAGL Football Academy.

Kiatisak is a former Thai football star. He helped HAGL win the V.League championship in 2003 and 2004. In 2021, this strategist took the "hot seat" of the mountain town team.

In the first season, HAGL topped the table after 12 rounds with 29 points but then the tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the 2022 season, this team could no longer maintain its form and finished the season in 6th place. In the 2023 season, the performance continued to decline when the team fell into the relegation group in phase 2.

If he accepts to lead the Hanoi Police Club, Coach Kiatisak will have in his hands a quality squad of players with many stars of the Vietnam National Team.

Currently, the head coach of Hanoi Police Club is Mr. Tran Tien Dai. In round 8, Mr. Dai returned to replace coach Gong Oh-kyun, helping Hanoi Police Club regain its winning feeling. However, in the long term, the team still wants to sign a contract with a famous coach to build its own style of play and identity.
