Coach Jose Mourinho guided AS Roma to the Europa Conference League title in 2022, but left the Italian side ninth in Serie A after a disappointing first half of the 2023/24 season.

The Portuguese tactician was sacked after a disastrous week in charge, with Roma knocked out of the Coppa Italia by arch-rivals Lazio and then beaten 3-1 by AC Milan in Serie A round 20.
AS Roma president Ryan Friedkin said: "On behalf of everyone at AS Roma, we would like to thank Jose for his passion and effort since arriving at the club.
We will always have wonderful memories of his time at Roma, but we believe that immediate change is in the best interests of the club.
We wish Jose and his assistants all the best in their future endeavours."
