MT Pop World Champion: Vietnam Still Has Very Good Dancers

On April 11, Red Bull Dance Your Style 2024 world champion MT Pop arrived in Ho Chi Minh City - the second stop on the Asia tour and participated in the national final of Red Bull Dance Your Style, held for the first time in Vietnam.

After winning the highly-acclaimed Red Bull Dance Your Style 2024 World Championship in India, MT Pop is touring across Asia to bring Vietnam's signature street dance style to international stages.

He said: "I am very happy to have the opportunity to represent Vietnam in the Red Bull Dance Your Style competition because this is an opportunity for me to express myself and connect with dancers around the world.

I really hope to introduce the friendliness and openness of Vietnamese people to international friends, and at the same time prove that Vietnam also has very good dancers and deserves many opportunities to shine."

In Ho Chi Minh City this time, MT Pop, along with Son Lam and international stars Xelyna and Boubou, will teach classes to share experiences, visit famous tourist destinations, connect with young talents and interact with the dance community.

These activities are part of the Red Bull Dance Your Style Asia tour, which aims to bring international and local dancers together to celebrate culture and elevate the status of the sport.

"I think these exchange activities between foreign and domestic dancers will give young people more confidence. The previous generations, despite many difficulties, persevered in experiencing and learning from different cultures, then passed on that energy to their generation.

And now, I also want to pass on this energy to young people and show them that if MT Pop can do it, then surely you can do it too," MT Pop affirmed.

Red Bull Dance Your Style finds its first champion in Vietnam

MT Pop participated in Vietnam’s first national final of Red Bull Dance Your Style. The tournament brought together Vietnam’s top freestyle dancers to compete in a 1-on-1 format to random music, from current top 40 songs to legendary dance songs.

The exciting final night selected the first national champion of Red Bull Dance Your Style Vietnam, Snoopp Gee - who will be the next representative of Vietnam, after MT Pop in 2024, to compete in the world final taking place in Los Angeles (USA) on October 11 this year.

"I feel great because this is the first time Red Bull Dance Your Style has come to Vietnam. This really means a lot to my dancing career, as I can meet many talented athletes in the US and learn many good things," said Snoopp Gee.
