8 Vietnamese football talents go to Spain for professional training

The “Search and develop young talent” (Next Gen Draft) project, part of the global initiative EA Sports FC Futures, will officially take place from March 11 at Gia Dinh Football Stadium (Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City). The program in Vietnam is part of a global journey with more than 1,000 young players from 5 countries on 3 continents. A total of 40 outstanding faces (including 8 young talents from Vietnam) will be selected to participate in special training in Spain with La Liga and partner clubs.

Within the framework of the program, more than 200 young Vietnamese talents will go through many selection rounds to find the 8 most outstanding faces (including 4 men and 4 women) to go to Spain in early June. The selection process will take place continuously from April 11 to 13, with the content of assessing skills, physical strength and tactical thinking according to international standards.

Previously, “Next Gen Draft” was successfully organized in South Africa, the US, the UAE AND Guatemala. Stopping in Vietnam from April 11 to 13, the project will continue to spread the spirit of football through the combination of human values ​​and professional coaching methods from La Liga and EA Sports. This is part of a global initiative called EA Sports FC Futures - a program aimed at discovering and nurturing young football talents around the world, while promoting community connection through the human values ​​of the king of sports .

"Next Gen Draft" Selection Rounds

Rush Tournament: The first phase of the program will kick off with the "Rush Tournament", where around 200 young players (both boys and girls) will compete in the 5v5 Rush format - an innovative competition format with 2 halves, each lasting 7 minutes. The winning team members and the 20 best players selected by La Liga experts and coaches will advance to the next round.

FC Futures Academy Training Session: Selected candidates will participate in intensive training with UEFA Pro certified coaches from La Liga, following the official FC Futures Academy training method. Each carefully designed session combines visual material from the EA Sports FC 25 game with professional knowledge from the coaches, providing a training experience that combines physical and digital technology . This innovative method creates an engaging and effective training environment for young players. At the end of this round, 32 players (16 men and 16 women) will continue to the next round.

La Liga Final Match: At this stage, the contestants will compete in a full match against their local team. After the match, the 04 best performing men and 04 women will be selected to join a special journey with LALIGA in Spain. The final decision is not only based on technical skills, but also takes into account psychological and emotional factors such as commitment, solidarity and effort – the core values ​​of football.

Experience La Liga in Spain: The final phase of the programme will take place in Spain, where selected players will train under the international standards of the La Liga Academy, compete against youth teams from La Liga clubs, and receive direct guidance from experts.
