Quang Tuan's strange and crazy image in the movie Tunnels

“Tunnel: Sun in the Dark” is the second time Quang Tuan collaborates with a famous director who is picky in choosing actors, Bui Thac Chuyen.

Being on Bui Thac Chuyen's selection list twice in a row is a testament to Quang Tuan's ability.

While most male leads are famous and quickly rise to fame with their bright appearance and roles as handsome men that make millions of female audiences melt, Quang Tuan has chosen the opposite path. Quang Tuan's roles are all edgy, strange, and ugly to the point of insanity.

In “Glorious Ashes”, his first collaboration with director Bui Thac Chuyen, Quang Tuan plays Tam, a man pushed to the brink of tragedy by life. After the incident of losing his child, Tam goes crazy. Tam’s greatest pleasure is burning down the house and watching the flames burn brightly. The acting of Quang Tuan and co-star Phuong Anh Dao is considered the highlight of “Glorious Ashes”.

Quang Tuan is a hard-working actor. In recent years, he has focused most of his time on the film industry with frequent appearances and film projects being released one after another. Almost every year, Quang Tuan has a film released.

In early 2025, Quang Tuan had 2 films, "Ghost in the Palace" and “Tunnel: Sun in the Dark”. Currently, Quang Tuan is filming a new project. A member of the “Tunnel” crew said that 2025 is Quang Tuan’s year.

“Quy nhap trang” is a horror film genre that Quang Tuan has been pursuing for many years. He has continuously appeared in projects with ghostly colors such as That Son Tam Linh, Bong De, Tet O Lang Dia Hell, Quy Cau...

Most recently, “The Devil Enters the Intestines” left theaters in March with a revenue of 149 billion VND, causing a surprise at the box office. In the film, Quang Tuan plays Quang - a poor man who cannot bear the great shock when his wife and children have an accident. Quang is completely defeated by the shock, his perception becomes distorted, his thinking is broken, and he has horrifying hallucinations... Quang's role requires complex and contradictory psychological developments, and is the focal point that carries the twists and turns in “The Devil Enters the Intestines”.

As usual, Quang Tuan plays the role with a dirty, old appearance, hidden behind which is a distortion in thinking and perception.

Perhaps, aware of his strengths, Quang Tuan did not build the image of a handsome man, "a male god that everyone loves", he invested in roles with hideous appearances, always with unpredictable faces and unpredictable psychological developments.

Having been acting since 2006, Quang Tuan’s acting has only become a highlight in the 2020 film “Invisible Evidence”. He plays a cold-blooded murderer, trying to “cat and mouse” with the only witness to the murder, Thu (Phuong Anh Dao).

Thu is blind, but accidentally appears at the scene when the murderer (Quang Tuan) commits the crime. From here, the chase between the cold-blooded murderer and Thu becomes intense, dramatic with many "twists".

His edgy and profound acting style, with careful calculations and restraint in emotions and appearance, helps Quang Tuan become the new "hundred billion face" of Vietnamese cinema.

Appearing in "Tunnel: Sun in the Dark", Quang Tuan has promoted his strengths, still a unique image, a lively changing acting style, sometimes as a fierce Tu Dap, recklessly rushing into the middle of a bomb attack, sometimes as a gentle Tu Dap in a love relationship with Ba Huong (Ho Thu Anh).

Quang Tuan's full name is Ngo Quang Tuan, born in 1985 in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and has been acting since 2006.
