On October 21, Mr. Nguyen Huu Hong, Principal of Dinh Son Secondary School, Dinh Son Commune (Anh Son District) said that after receiving feedback from VietNamNet newspaper, the school asked the homeroom teacher to return the education sponsorship money to the parents.

“The school has submitted a report to the department, stating the expected educational sponsorship revenue, but there has been no approval document yet. Therefore, all educational sponsorship payments that parents have made have been returned,” Mr. Hong informed.

Some parents whose children study at Dinh Son Secondary School said that the homeroom teacher texted them to ask for their account number to transfer back the educational sponsorship money.

Mr. Dang Xuan Quang, Deputy Secretary of Anh Son District Party Committee, informed that the district Party Committee has issued an official dispatch directing the rectification of the mobilization and disbursement of educational funding sources at the beginning of the school year. However, some units have not implemented it correctly.

The Standing Committee of Anh Son District Party Committee requested the District People's Committee to inspect and clarify the information reported by VietNamNet newspaper about the shortcomings in the collection of fees at the beginning of the school year of educational institutions in Dinh Son and Hoa Son communes; at the same time, it will inspect all educational institutions in the district. This agency also directed to organize reviews and take measures to handle organizations and individuals who violate the regulations.

Anh Son District Party Committee requested the District People's Committee, Party Committees of communes and towns; Party cells of high schools to implement and report before October 30.

The principal joined each class's Zalo group to call for sponsorship at the beginning of the school year . To have funds to buy computers, desks and chairs, and build facilities, the school leaders in Anh Son district (Nghe An) joined each class' Zalo group and sent messages to call for sponsorship.
