Hezbollah refuses to normalize relations with Israel, Gaza threatened with all-out attack

Hezbollah once again expressed its stance on relations with Israel, as the latter continues airstrikes in the Gaza Strip and maintains a military presence in some areas of southern Lebanon.

According to al-Manar TV channel, on March 26, speaking at the Jerusalem Forum, Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem said that the movement is steadfast in its stance of preventing Israel from achieving its goals in Lebanon, noting that normalization is still off the agenda.

He reiterated Hezbollah's commitment to Lebanon's sovereignty, as well as the demand for the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from the country, and called on the state to put pressure on all parties so that Israel fully implements the ceasefire agreements and protects Beirut's rights.

Secretary General Qassem said Hezbollah has always opposed any political or diplomatic links with Israel, citing the latter's continued control over Lebanese territory, including the Israeli-annexed Shebaa Farms and Kfarchouba hills.

Hezbollah has maintained a steadfast stance of resistance, seeing it as the only way to protect Lebanon's sovereignty and prevent further Israeli military action.

Mr. Qassem also praised the resilience of the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. He stressed that the Palestinian people have paid a high price, but they are still resilient in fighting for their land, dignity and rights.

The Hezbollah leader also condemned the US-Israeli strategy to reshape the region by undermining the Palestinian cause and expanding Israeli control over territory. He warned that the resistance front, including Hezbollah and its regional allies, remains committed to resisting these efforts.

Meanwhile, on the same day, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that the country's army would soon "launch an all-out attack" on more areas of Gaza, more than a week after resuming its offensive on the Palestinian territory.

“Hamas is putting people’s lives at risk, displacing them from their homes, and more and more of its territory will be integrated into Israel’s defense system,” Katz said.
