DNVN - After more than 1 year of operation, Cebu Pacific Airlines (Philippines) has increased the frequency of flights from Manila to Da Nang from 3 flights/week in December 2023 to 1 flight/day now and in the near future will be 2 flights/day.

Da Nang International Airport (HKQT) said that Cebu Pacific (Philippines) has just announced that it will increase the frequency of operations on the Da Nang - Manila route to 2 flights per day in the summer schedule of 2025, instead of 1 flight as at present, with a fleet of A320 and A321 aircraft.

Cebu Pacific will operate the Manila - Da Nang route regularly from December 2023.

Cebu Pacific has put the Manila - Da Nang route into regular operation since December 2023. From the initial frequency of 3 flights/week, this route has now been increased to 1 flight/day and soon to 2 flights/day, with a flight time of about 2.5 hours.

In addition to Manila, Mr. Mark Adrian - representative of Cebu Pacific added that with the very positive results achieved after nearly 1 year of cooperation with Da Nang International Airport, this airline is preparing plans for new routes connecting the Northern Philippines to the city on the Han River.

According to Mr. Phan Kieu Hung - Director of Da Nang International Airport, there are currently 28 domestic and international airlines operating 23 routes to Da Nang; including 8 domestic routes and 15 international routes.

From January 1, 2025, Da Nang International Airport will start collecting service fees for passengers using priority lanes for security screening at Terminal T1, Da Nang Airport.

This is a non-aviation service that does not affect the supply and quality of transportation services, and does not change the aviation security control process. Passengers who want to quickly and conveniently check and screen at Da Nang International Airport can pay to use the private lane service.

This type of service is not new in the world. In Vietnam, airports have priority lanes, applied to cases such as high-ranking leaders, heroic Vietnamese mothers, and people with revolutionary contributions. In Vietnam, some airports have also applied this service with a separate lane fee.

Mr. Phan Kieu Hung said that Da Nang International Airport is coordinating with related businesses to set the price for this service. The expected service price is about 100,000 VND/person, applied to both domestic and international guests. Children under 2 years old are free, children 2-12 years old get a 50% discount.
