Tens of thousands of people flock to Hung Temple before the death anniversary of the Hung Kings.

Although there are still 4 days left until the main Hung King's death anniversary, this morning, April 14 (the 6th day of the 3rd lunar month), tens of thousands of people from all over the country made a pilgrimage to Hung Temple to celebrate, causing the roads leading to the temples of Hung Temple to always be crowded, sometimes congested.

From early morning, tens of thousands of people from all over returned to Hung Temple to visit and offer incense.

Due to the sudden increase in tourists, the police, traffic police, and security forces have been mobilized to the maximum, stationed at many points in the relic site, especially the main entrance to the temples to ensure security and order, reminding tourists not to jostle and push and to give priority to the elderly and children.

Many elderly people still return to Hung Temple with their children and grandchildren to offer incense.

Mr. Hoang Ngoc Quang (30 years old, from Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh province) said that to avoid the jostling and congestion on the main festival day, taking advantage of the weekend off work and the nice weather today, his family organized a tour and incense offering at the Hung Temple relic site.

“My family arrived early but still couldn’t avoid the traffic jam. The paths leading up to the temple were packed with people. We had to move step by step, and it was also very difficult to get down,” said Mr. Quang.

The entrance to Hung Temple is congested, visitors have to stand in line and wait their turn.

According to the Organizing Committee of the Hung Temple Festival 2024, with favorable weather like the past few days, the Organizing Committee predicts that from now until the main festival (March 10 of the lunar calendar), the number of people flocking to Hung Temple will continue to increase.

The police forces and the Organizing Committee had to divide the traffic to ensure security and order when visiting and offering incense at Hung Temple.

It is known that the Organizing Committee of the Hung Temple Festival in 2024 has made a specific plan, closely coordinated with functional units, especially the Phu Tho Provincial Police force, to develop plans to prepare to welcome visitors, even when the number of visitors suddenly increases. So that when visitors come to visit and offer incense at Hung Temple, solemnity and safety are always ensured.
