Many world leaders have condemned the shooting that injured former US President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on July 13 (US time).

In a statement on July 14, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said Beijing expressed concern over the shooting attack on former US President Donald Trump during a campaign rally. The statement said: "President Xi Jinping expressed condolences to former President Trump over the incident."
On the same day, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz described the shooting as a condemnable act, warning that this act of violence was a threat to democracy.
On social network X, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed: "I am horrified to hear about the shooting of former US President Donald Trump at his campaign rally in Pennsylvania. Such violence is unjustified and has no place anywhere in the world. Violence must never reign."
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said she was "shocked" by the shooting at Mr Trump's campaign rally.
South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol denounced the attack as "horrific political violence" and wished Mr Trump a speedy recovery.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi condemned the shooting, calling for the resumption of US elections in a "peaceful and healthy" atmosphere.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) identified Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, as a "person of interest" in the plot to assassinate former President Donald Trump.
