Two Yak-130 military aircraft pilots discharged from hospital

(Dan Tri) - After more than a week of treatment, on November 15, the health of the two pilots in the military plane accident in Binh Dinh and crash in Dak Lak, has fully recovered and was discharged from Military Hospital 13.


Colonel Nguyen Van Son (Regiment Commander) and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Quan (Flight Commander), both from Air Force Regiment 940, were the two pilots who were lucky to escape the Yak-130 military aircraft crash on November 6, while training in Binh Dinh.

According to Colonel, Doctor Huynh Ngoc Can, Director of Military Hospital 13, when received in the early morning of November 7, the two pilots were in good mental state, alert, with stable hemodynamic parameters but had many abrasions.

At the hospital, doctors performed tests and took X-rays to comprehensively assess the health and develop a treatment plan for the two pilots. The next day, the two pilots showed signs of acute rhabdomyolysis due to overexertion.

Immediately afterwards, Military Hospital 13 held an inter-hospital consultation with Binh Dinh Provincial General Hospital and Military Hospital 175 to agree on a treatment regimen.

"Through the treatment and monitoring process, the symptoms of rhabdomyolysis gradually decreased, all tests of the two pilots returned to normal, meeting the health standards to be discharged from the hospital," Colonel, Doctor Huynh Ngoc Can, shared.

Talking to the doctors and nurses at Military Hospital 13, Colonel and pilot Nguyen Van Son said that early next week, he and pilot Nguyen Hong Quan will go to the Air Defense - Air Force Medical Institute in Hanoi for a general health assessment, then return to the unit to carry out tasks assigned by their superiors.

"Today, we are very happy because our health has recovered and we have been discharged from the hospital. We are extremely grateful and would like to send our sincere thanks to the Board of Directors and the doctors and nurses of Military Hospital 13 for always being enthusiastic, caring and treating us very thoughtfully. I wish all the doctors and nurses good health and success in life," said pilot Nguyen Van Son.
