Ha Tinh completes 'missing' road section nearly 14 years after Dai Doan Ket Newspaper reported

After 14 years of being "forgotten", a road section of more than 400m long through Tan Thang village, Ky Ninh commune, Ky Anh town (Ha Tinh) has been supplied with power for completion of construction.

On April 23, 2024, Dai Doan Ket Online published an article "Ha Tinh: More than 350m of road 'missing' for 14 years at a key project" , reflecting the state of damage and degradation on the road section through Tan Thang village, Ky Ninh commune.

The “missing” road section through Tan Thang village, Ky Ninh commune is a component of the Central Urban Area - Ky Ninh Tourist Urban Area Cross-Road Project (phase 1), approved by the People’s Committee of Ha Tinh province in Decision No. 3652/QD-UBND dated December 10, 2010 with a total investment of over 319 billion VND. The total length of the entire route is 9.243 km.

According to the Management Board of the Ha Tinh Economic Zone Construction Investment Project (investor), in phase 1, the project has completed 8.8/9.2 km, meeting the scale of level III traffic road standards. At that time, more than 400m through Tan Thang village, Ky Ninh commune could not be constructed due to land clearance problems.

Currently, the project has been allocated capital to continue implementation in Decision No. 1878/QD-UBND dated August 2, 2024 of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province. The total investment of the project in phase 2 is more than 8 billion VND. "The unit has requested the construction unit to take advantage of favorable weather to speed up the construction progress to complete the road for people to travel," said a representative of the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects in the Economic Zone of Ha Tinh province.

According to Dai Doan Ket reporters on the last day of 2024, the road is being urgently constructed. Although the construction is taking place during the rainy season and the weather is not favorable, the construction unit (Bac A Construction and Trade Joint Stock Company) has increased manpower and machinery, taking advantage of the clear weather to construct.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thai, Director of Bac A Construction and Trade Joint Stock Company, said that the company has only started construction for 1 month but has completed a lot of work such as digging, leveling the ground, and building drainage ditches.

“This route has a lot of traffic and the weather is not favorable, so the construction is facing many difficulties. We will speed up the construction progress and try to fix the road before Tet 2025 so that people can travel,” Mr. Thai informed.

The leaders of Ky Ninh commune also shared that the people were happy when the road through Tan Thang village was invested in and built. People hope the road will be completed before Tet to facilitate trade and celebrate Tet.
