Hanoi: 12 areas enrolling 10th grade students in 2025

12 recruitment areas in Hanoi are specifically as follows:

Area 1 includes Ba Dinh and Tay Ho districts.

Area 2 includes Hoan Kiem and Hai Ba Trung districts.

Area 3 includes Dong Da, Thanh Xuan and Cau Giay districts.

Area 4 includes Hoang Mai district and Thanh Tri district.

Area 5 includes Long Bien district and Gia Lam district.

Region 6 includes Dong Anh, Soc Son and Me Linh districts.

Region 7 includes Bac Tu Liem, Nam Tu Liem districts and Hoai Duc and Dan Phuong districts.

Region 8 includes Phuc Tho and Ba Vi districts and Son Tay town.

Region 9 includes Thach That and Quoc Oai districts.

Area 10 includes Ha Dong district and Chuong My and Thanh Oai districts.

Region 11 includes Thuong Tin and Phu Xuyen districts.

Region 12 includes Ung Hoa and My Duc districts.

According to the leader of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the division of enrollment areas aims to ensure the most favorable conditions in terms of administrative boundaries, helping students not have to travel too far to go to school.

Based on specific conditions of geographical location and academic ability, students choose schools to register for appropriate admission wishes.

According to regulations of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, each student is allowed to register their wishes (NV) to apply to a maximum of 3 public high schools, ranked in order NV 1, NV 2 and NV 3.

In which, NV 1 and NV 2 must belong to the same recruitment area according to regulations; NV 3 can belong to any recruitment area.

The 10th grade public high school entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in Hanoi will take place over two days from June 7-8. To apply to public schools, students will take three exams including Math, Literature and Foreign Language.
