Authorized by the Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the seminar was attended by Major General Be Hai Trieu, Director of the Department of Mass Mobilization; and attended and chaired by Colonel Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, Head of the Military Women's Committee.

Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Colonel Nguyen Thi Thu Hien said that among the millions of people joining the armed forces, tens of thousands of women volunteered to join the army, ready to take on many positions in the Army. The more fierce the war, the more women joined the Army.
With their own unique characteristics, the noble qualities of Women in the Army, “Patriotism, solidarity, creativity, loyalty, and responsibility”, have contributed significantly to the Great Victory of Spring 1975, completely liberating the South, unifying the country, and bringing the whole country into the era of independence, unity, and advancing towards Socialism.
With peace restored, Women in the Army continue to make unceasing efforts to follow in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; maintaining and enhancing the image and noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era.

The seminar received 50 enthusiastic and high-quality presentations from experts, teachers, journalists, scientists, leaders of the Women's Union from the Central to the provinces and cities across the country, Heads and representatives of political agencies of agencies and units throughout the army.
