The Central Gas and Power Center Project and the Phat Dat - Dung Quat 2 Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project located in Dung Quat Economic Zone are two large-scale, non-budgetary investment projects with large spillover effects in the area.
Specifically, the Central Gas and Power Center Project invested by Vietnam Electricity Group has a total investment of about 36,200 billion VND and the Phat Dat - Dung Quat 2 Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project has a total investment of about 4,000 billion VND invested by Phat Dat Real Estate Development Joint Stock Company.
Accordingly, for the Central Gas and Power Center Project, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien assigned the Provincial Inspectorate to re-evaluate the cause of the delay in compensation payment, and at the same time assigned the Binh Son District People's Committee to review and re-determine the full costs to be paid to the people in 2024.
Regarding the project of Investment in construction and business of infrastructure of Phat Dat - Dung Quat 2 Industrial Park, the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and the provincial industrial parks have reviewed the contents as requested by the Ministry of Planning and Investment. The review results show that the regulations have been ensured and the conditions for the province to attract investment, allocate land, and lease land to implement the project have been met. In addition, on the land area planned for the project, there are currently a number of public works that need support for investors in site clearance.
Regarding this project, Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien requested departments, branches, sectors and Binh Son district to focus on coordinating to resolve the investor's proposals, ensuring the project's completion progress to soon put it into operation, contributing to the economic development of the province. In particular, Binh Son District People's Committee proactively determined the location of public works to relocate to make way for the project if the investor has a need.
