According to a report from the Provincial Statistics Office, in the first quarter of 2025, the province's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated at VND13,754 billion, up 9.06% over the same period. Of which, the industrial and construction sector reached nearly VND4,497 billion, up 6.95%, with the processing and manufacturing industry alone achieving an impressive growth rate of 12.8%.

This not only demonstrates the leading role of industry in the economic structure but also shows the right direction in prioritizing industries with high added value, applying modern technology and connecting with the global supply chain.

Supporting industry - a solid foundation for production

Supporting industry is identified by Ninh Binh as the foundation for sustainable development. Products such as camera modules, auto parts, electronic parts, etc. not only maintain high output but also account for a large proportion of total production and export value. In the first 3 months of 2025, the province's industrial production value reached more than 24,257 billion VND, up 8.6% over the same period, of which the processing and manufacturing industry accounted for 23,800 billion VND. This is clear evidence that the priority industrial development policy - especially supporting industry - is effective.

Exports accelerate, continuing to establish position

The total export value of the province in the first quarter of 2025 reached more than 849.8 million USD, an increase of 5.4%. A series of supporting industrial products were present in the main export group such as cameras and components (233.3 million USD), footwear of all kinds (191.7 million USD), auto components (40.6 million USD), electronic components (32.5 million USD)... Along with that, imports also grew by 8%, reaching nearly 785 million USD, mainly components and raw materials for production, showing the "in-depth" development of the local industry.

Connecting industrial parks – creating momentum for investment

Industrial park infrastructure continues to be a prominent competitive advantage of Ninh Binh. Key industrial parks such as Gian Khau, Khanh Phu, Phuc Son... are strongly attracting domestic and foreign investment capital. This is an important foundation for forming closed production chains, optimizing logistics costs and enhancing production autonomy in the context of high risks in the global supply chain.

Not stopping there, the province also proactively planned satellite industrial clusters in Kim Son, Yen Khanh, Gia Vien... to support small and medium enterprises, diversify supporting industrial products and create a modern, green and sustainable industrial ecosystem.
