Introducing "Vietnam Tourism through photo space"

(Fatherland) - On the morning of September 2, at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, Quy Nhon City, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Binh Dinh Province to open the program "Vietnam Tourism through photo space".

This is a practical activity to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024); this is also the opening activity for the program "Tourism, Cinema and Sports - Proud of Vietnamese identity".

Attending the event were Mr. Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Steering Committee of the Program "Tourism, Cinema and Sports - Proud of Vietnamese Identity"; Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province and leaders of units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as departments, branches, associations, unions; leaders of districts, towns and cities of Binh Dinh province.

In his opening speech, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong said: Through two main themes: "The beauty of Vietnam through cinema" and "Space to introduce Binh Dinh in films", the program will introduce more than 300 photos about the beauty of Vietnam's land and people, which are filming locations appearing in domestic and international films along with a number of cultural sites, historical relics, and scenic spots of Binh Dinh province, contributing to promoting culture, tourist destinations, and the potential for developing Vietnam's tourism brand through cinema, sports events of localities in general and Binh Dinh province in particular.

Leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Binh Dinh province and delegates visited 300 photos of the beauty of Vietnam's land and people as the setting for domestic and international films.

According to Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong, cinema is confirmed to be an effective tourism promotion channel in the national tourism development strategy. Beautiful scenes in movies can create tourist attraction, help destinations, landmarks, tourism products and services in movies become famous, contributing positively to the development of the tourism industry of many provinces and cities such as: Phu Yen, Ha Giang, Quang Ninh, Quang Binh...

Filming locations in many localities of our country have become favorite tourist destinations for visitors to experience. Vietnam's landscape becomes more sparkling thanks to the professional camera angles of filmmakers.

The Deputy Minister also said that the above reality poses a requirement in the new context: "The film, tourism and sports industries need closer cooperation and a long-term strategy for sustainable development".

Vietnam is a country with a heroic history, a place with many beautiful natural landscapes, a system of historical - cultural relics, and unique scenic spots, bringing advantages and potential to promote tourism through cinema.

Through two themes "Beauty of Vietnam through Cinema" and "Space to introduce Binh Dinh in movies", the program will introduce more than 300 photos about the beauty of Vietnam's land and people, which are filming locations appearing in domestic and international movies along with some cultural landmarks, historical relics... of Binh Dinh, contributing to promoting local culture and tourism, the potential to develop Vietnam's tourism brand through cinema.

Sharing at the photo exhibition area, People's Artist Xuan Bac - said that Binh Dinh has many beautiful landscapes and historical relics associated with culture. Therefore, if filmmakers do not research, explore and do not put the beautiful scenery of Binh Dinh on film, it is really a waste. "With the promotion and advertising of Binh Dinh's image like this, I am sure that in a short time, many films will be filmed here. This is a great opportunity not only for Binh Dinh, but also for domestic and international filmmakers".
