Introducing the signatures of three new deputy prime ministers

The Government Office has just issued documents introducing the signatures of three new Deputy Prime Ministers: Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh, Mr. Ho Duc Phoc and Mr. Bui Thanh Son.

Previously, the National Assembly approved the appointment of three additional Deputy Prime Ministers: Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh, Mr. Ho Duc Phoc and Mr. Bui Thanh Son. On August 26, the President signed Decision No. 842 appointing Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh to the position of Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term. As assigned by the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh is the permanent Deputy Prime Minister. Mr. Binh will directly monitor and direct the following areas of work: planning and investment, forecasting and macroeconomic management policies; development of types of enterprises, collective economy, and cooperatives. Along with that are the areas of crime prevention; prevention of smuggling and trade fraud; anti-corruption; inspection, settlement of complaints and denunciations; ethnicity, religion; regular issues on emulation - rewards, administrative reform, digital transformation; amnesty, judicial reform, etc.
The President signed Decision No. 843 appointing Mr. Ho Duc Phoc - Minister of Finance - to hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021 - 2026 term. Mr. Phoc will concurrently hold the position of Minister until this position is completed. Mr. Phoc is assigned to monitor and direct the following areas: finance, prices; currency, banking; capital market, stock market; financial investment sources; state reserves; budget, foreign exchange reserve fund and other state funds; issuance of government bonds and bonds. Along with these are areas such as: salary and social insurance policies; arrangement and innovation of state-owned enterprises; general mechanisms and policies on public asset management; information and communications.
The President signed Decision No. 844 appointing Mr. Bui Thanh Son - Minister of Foreign Affairs - to hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021 - 2026 term. Mr. Son is assigned to monitor and direct the following areas: diplomacy and foreign relations; ODA and preferential loan mobilization; non-governmental aid; international integration; bilateral and multilateral international commitments. Along with these are the areas of foreign direct investment (FDI), Vietnam's investment abroad; Vietnam's relations with international and regional organizations; border affairs and East Sea - island issues; overseas Vietnamese affairs and issues of foreigners in Vietnam. In addition, Mr. Son also monitors and directs issues of human rights; industry; trade - import and export; petroleum reserves and supply, logistics services; energy; science and technology; and approval of investment policies for investment projects in assigned fields.
With the approval of the appointment of three more deputy prime ministers, the Government now has Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and five deputy prime ministers including Nguyen Hoa Binh, Tran Hong Ha, Le Thanh Long, Ho Duc Phoc, and Bui Thanh Son.
