Speaking at the meeting with voters, Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Thi Anh Xuan acknowledged and highly appreciated the attention of voters and people to important issues of the country, as well as the development of Long Xuyen province and city in the coming time. Although the general context has many difficulties and challenges, the results of higher economic growth, budget revenue, activities to focus on key projects in An Giang, especially transportation, have improved a lot.

The recent joy of the Ba Chua Xu Festival on Sam Mountain being recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity is a condition for developing tourism, promoting culture to domestic and international friends to understand more about An Giang land. An Giang province takes care of people with meritorious services, poor households, and families with preferential policies; the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is focused on spreading to have many cozy and spacious houses to help people reduce difficulties.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan emphasized that the Party and State have put forward many major policies that must be resolved very quickly, creating a huge breakthrough, such as: Streamlining the organizational apparatus, merging localities, reducing 1 level of local government; implementing Resolution 57, transforming the level of socio-economic development, level, and production methods to science - technology, innovation, digital transformation; focusing on developing the private economy... requiring the joint efforts, consensus, and solidarity of the entire Party and people of the whole country.

The merger of An Giang and Kien Giang provinces will create a larger space and area; richer terrain; improved quantity and quality of human resources; local governance will change in a new way to be truly close to the people, closer to the people and proactively serve the people better... Thereby, helping the locality promote its advantages to develop stronger, faster and more sustainably.

Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Thi Anh Xuan hopes that the leaders of An Giang province and Long Xuyen city, from their responsibility and spirit for the country and their homeland, will calculate the work of arranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building a model of organizing a 2-level local government in an authentic manner, in accordance with the people's wishes and creating new development for their homeland.
