On the evening of November 4, the art program "People's Artist Vien Chau - A lifetime of singing" directed by People's Artist Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy took place at the City Theater (HCMC).

Composer Vien Chau was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist by the State in 1988, and in 2012 he was awarded the title of People's Artist.

In 2014, he was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal from the President for his outstanding contributions to the art of Southern amateur music.
