In document 895/HĐTS-VP1 signed on December 28, the Standing Committee of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha requested Venerable Thich Truc Thai Minh, abbot of Ba Vang Pagoda, to urgently send a report explaining the origin of "Buddha's hair relics" and the organization of this event.

At the same time, the Church also requested Ba Vang Pagoda and its abbot to immediately remove all introductions about "Buddha's hair relics at Ba Vang Pagoda" on the pagoda's information pages and those of Venerable Thich Truc Thai Minh, as well as social networking sites related to the above incident.

Previously, Ba Vang Pagoda's information channels posted information that the pagoda received and displayed "Buddha's hair relics" dating back 2,600 years, believed to have been brought back from Myanmar.

The abbot of Ba Vang Pagoda introduced this "hair relic" that can move by itself, attracting many people to come and see but also causing much debate on social networks.

Immediately after receiving information that Ba Vang Pagoda organized the above activity, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs advised the Ministry of Home Affairs to issue a document requesting the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province to direct local authorities to inspect and verify the incident.

The Government Committee for Religious Affairs has also discussed and sent a document to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha requesting an assessment of the origin of the "Buddha's hair relics" displayed at Ba Vang Pagoda in recent days to have official information about the incident.

Currently, the Quang Ninh Provincial Religious Committee has come to work at Ba Vang Pagoda and learned that "Buddha's hair relics" have been brought to Myanmar.
