
In the program, workers pay special attention to the strategic legal regulations and policies of the Capital Law and the Trade Union Law, to ensure that each worker enjoys legitimate rights, while encouraging active participation in building a safe, fair and sustainable working environment.
Regarding the question of how the new content beneficial to union members in the revised Trade Union Law is regulated, Mr. Nguyen Van Ha, Deputy Head of the Hanoi Bar Association, said that the Trade Union Law officially takes effect from July 1, 2025.
In particular, some notable new points are that workers have the right to request the Trade Union to represent and protect their legitimate and legal rights and interests when they are violated; to be informed, discuss, propose and vote on the work of the Trade Union; to be propagandized and disseminated about the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws related to the Trade Union, workers and the Trade Union's regulations.

In addition, workers also have the right to run for election, nominate, and vote for the leadership of the Trade Union according to the provisions of the Trade Union Law 2024 and the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; question leaders of the Trade Union at all levels, and propose disciplinary action against Trade Union officials who have committed violations according to the provisions of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union. In addition, workers also enjoy the social housing rental policy of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Regarding the policy of attracting talents in the Capital Law 2024, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Director of the Department of Justice of Hanoi City, said that Vietnamese citizens with outstanding moral qualities, qualifications, abilities, practical experience, working in the country or abroad, with special works, products, achievements, merits or contributions to the development of a field or industry of the Capital will be considered for recruitment and admission to work as civil servants and public employees of Hanoi City.
According to Ms. Huong, Vietnamese citizens who meet the criteria are allowed to sign contracts to perform professional or technical work or take on management and executive positions at public service units under the city's management.
Foreigners with high professional qualifications, a lot of practical experience, whose works or products have been accepted, recognized, and applied with high efficiency will be signed contracts to carry out the tasks of building, developing, managing and protecting the Capital.
