Sustainable poverty reduction efforts
Tan Son is a mountainous district with many difficulties, but in 2024, the district continued to have many flexible solutions, suitable to the local situation to help people escape poverty, build a prosperous and happy life. Thoroughly grasping the Resolution of the Party, in recent years, the province has directed all levels, sectors and localities to regularly coordinate, organize propaganda and widely mobilize cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, people and businesses to clearly understand the viewpoints, policies and guidelines on poverty reduction of the Party and State, considering this a key task, and at the same time consistently focusing resources on sustainable poverty reduction.

Implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, since the beginning of the year, all levels, sectors and localities in the province have actively implemented projects and sub-projects on livelihood diversification, poverty reduction model development; supporting production development, improving nutrition; developing vocational education and sustainable employment; communication and poverty reduction information; capacity building, monitoring and evaluation of the Program. Thanks to that, many businesses have improved their operational efficiency, increasingly developed stably and sustainably; promoted their role well, demonstrated social responsibility, made important contributions to sustainable poverty reduction, actively participated in supporting the "For the Poor" Fund, implemented social security policies well, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
Synchronously deploy multiple solutions
Identifying social security as a policy and task of great humanitarian significance and importance, over the past years, the province has focused on synchronously implementing solutions to ensure social security for the people, typically implementing preferential policies for people with meritorious services, employment and income, vocational education, social insurance, unemployment insurance, social assistance, poverty reduction, etc.
The province focuses on directing the implementation of synchronous tasks and solutions, promoting the dissemination of social policies on mass media; summarizing and evaluating policies, laws, programs and projects on social security; effectively implementing directives and guidelines of the Central Government and the province on vocational training, increasing income, improving the quality of human resources; implementing non-cash payments of social policies through the banking system; promoting socialization to mobilize resources to implement social policies; promoting the participation of the private sector and enterprises in implementing social policies; strengthening international cooperation, mobilizing resources in building and implementing social policies.
Up to now, sustainable poverty reduction programs and projects have been invested in a focused, key and sustainable manner, especially in localities with high poverty rates; priority is given to supporting poor households who are ethnic minorities, whose members are people with revolutionary contributions, and children and women in poor households.
With many synchronous and effective solutions, the province's goal of rapid and sustainable poverty reduction has achieved many outstanding results. Policies to support the poor have been implemented promptly and to the right target; most of the policies and projects of the program have achieved and exceeded the set targets. The awareness of Party committees, authorities and people at all levels about sustainable poverty reduction has been raised, with clear changes; the goal of poverty reduction has become an important task and target in the leadership, direction and operation of Party committees and local authorities. Poor and near-poor households have better access to policies and support resources from the State and the community. According to Mr. Hoang Xuan Doai - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in 2024, Phu Tho province strives to reduce 0.6% of poor households, 0.3% of near-poor households, reduce multidimensional poverty, limit re-poverty, and new poverty. Districts, cities and towns have a reduction rate of 0.03% to 1.72%, of which Tan Son, Yen Lap and Cam Khe districts have a high reduction rate.
