Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 73.897 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 4.603 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

According to Goldman Sachs, the current environment is risky for most mainstream commodities, while gold offers the best protection against depreciation. “Gold stands out as the commodity in which we are most confident in the near-term upside,” Goldman Sachs said. They maintained their bullish price target of $2,700 an ounce by early 2025 and recommended gold for three reasons.
First, central banks have tripled their gold purchases since mid-2022. Second, the Fed will soon cut interest rates, bringing Western capital back into the gold market. Finally, analysts say gold offers significant hedge value to portfolios against geopolitical shocks, tariffs, Fed dependency risks, and debt concerns.
