According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,618.46 USD/ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 0.59% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,745 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 81.2 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 3.5 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices fell on Wednesday as rising US Treasury yields dented the appeal of non-yielding bullion in a low-traffic week, as markets focused on President-elect Donald Trump's return to office and the potential impact of his inflationary policies on the Fed's 2025 outlook.
“Treasury yields are a little higher here and gold is going to continue to be under pressure through the rest of today… we’re in a thin holiday market,” said Bob Haberkorn, senior market strategist at RJO Futures.
The dollar index (.DXY) is headed for a fourth straight weekly gain, denting gold's appeal to holders of other currencies, while the benchmark U.S. 10-year yield is trading near its highest since May 2, reached on Thursday.
Gold prices have risen 28% year-to-date, hitting a record high of $2,790.15 on October 31. The rally has been fueled by the Federal Reserve's easing cycle and rising global tensions.
Most analysts remain bullish on 2025, despite the Fed now expecting fewer rate cuts. They believe global geopolitical tensions will remain high, central banks will continue to buy gold heavily, and political uncertainty will persist when Trump returns to the White House in January.
The tariffs and protectionist trade policies he proposed are also expected to spark potential trade wars, adding to gold's appeal as a safe-haven asset.
“Next year, with central bank buying, I can see gold hitting $3,000 at some point, probably in the summer, if gold continues at the current pace,” Haberkorn said.
Gold typically rises during times of economic and geopolitical uncertainty and thrives in lower interest rate environments.
Meanwhile, spot silver prices fell 1.3% to $29.41 an ounce, platinum prices fell 2.1% to $916.30, and palladium prices fell 1.2% to $913.71.
