Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC), at the end of the most recent trading session, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,529 USD/ton, down 0.41%, and the price of Muntok white pepper at 8,865 USD/ton, down 0.41%.

Hundreds of households in Son Tien commune, Huong Son district (Ha Tinh) have focused on growing passionflower on garden land in the direction of commodities, bringing high economic efficiency.

Implementing the policy of changing the crop structure of the commune, realizing that the passion flower is easy to care for and has a high selling price, farmers have boldly renovated their gardens to grow experimentally. The plants grow well, without worrying about output, so up to now, they have expanded the area from 1 sao to 7 sao, earning an income of 80 - 100 million VND/year.

With current market prices, many households can earn an average income of 60 - 80 million VND/year, some large-area families earn up to hundreds of millions of VND/year.

Currently, the price of grade 1 Thai jackfruit (from 9kg and up, meeting export standards) is sold by farmers in many places to traders and jackfruit purchasing warehouses at 42,000 - 43,000 VND/kg; grade 2 (from 7 to under 9 kg/fruit), the price is from 21,000 - 22,000 VND/kg, grade 3 is 12,000 VND/kg. This price is 4 times higher than in May 2024.

Indonesian red-fleshed jackfruit grade 1 (8kg or more) costs 50,000 VND/kg, grade 2 (6kg to under 8kg/fruit) is 40,000 VND/kg and grade 3 (4kg to under 6kg/fruit) is 21,000 VND/kg.

Many farmers said that jackfruit prices have increased because many small traders and businesses are increasing their purchases of this type of jackfruit for export.
