Pig price on November 6, 2024: Slight increase in the Central and Southern regions, ranging from 58,000 - 64,000 VND/kg

DNVN - On November 6, 2024, the price of live pigs showed signs of a slight increase in the Central and Southern regions, fluctuating between 58,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in the North

On the morning of November 6, the price of live pigs in the North remained unchanged, remaining at 62,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.

Currently, prices in Hanoi, Bac Giang, Hai Duong, Hung Yen and Thai Binh provinces continue to maintain the highest regional level of 64,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in Central Highlands

In the Central Highlands region, live pig prices tend to increase, fluctuating between 58,000 - 62,000 VND/kg.

In particular, Quang Binh province recorded an increase of VND 2,000/kg, bringing the price to the highest in the region at VND 62,000/kg, equivalent to Thanh Hoa and Nghe An.

Provinces with prices below 60,000 VND/kg include: Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak.

Pig price in the South

The live hog market in the South had mixed developments this morning, with prices ranging from 60,000 - 62,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, live pigs in Ben Tre continued to increase slightly by 1,000 VND/kg, reaching 61,000 VND/kg.

On the contrary, in Soc Trang, Hau Giang and Tra Vinh, the price of live pigs decreased slightly, to 60,000 VND/kg.

The pig price chart from the beginning of 2024 shows a sharp increase in March, a gradual decrease in May, and then a slight upward adjustment in the final months of the year. The Northern region recorded the most fluctuations, while the Central and Southern regions tended to be more stable.

According to experts, the current price of live pigs is affected by domestic consumption demand and stable supply from large farms. It is forecasted that prices may remain stable or increase slightly in the short term when market demand increases at the end of the year. However, farmers need to regularly monitor the market to adjust production accordingly to ensure economic efficiency.
