* The live pig market in the Northern region continues to increase slightly.
Accordingly, after increasing by 1,000 VND/kg, traders in Lao Cai, Vinh Phuc and Tuyen Quang are purchasing live pigs at a common price of 57,000 VND/kg.
With the same increase, the trading price of live pigs in Bac Giang, Yen Bai, Hung Yen, Phu Tho, Thai Binh and Hanoi was adjusted to the highest level of 58,000 VND/kg.
Today's live pig price in the North is around 56,000 - 58,000 VND/kg.
* Pig prices in the Central and Central Highlands regions increased by VND1,000/kg in Quang Ngai province, recorded at VND53,000/kg.
The remaining provinces have stable purchase prices compared to yesterday.
Currently, the price of live pigs in the Central and Central Highlands regions is around 53,000 - 56,000 VND/kg.
* In the Southern region, pig prices also increased slightly following the general trend.
Specifically, the provinces of Tien Giang, Tra Vinh and Soc Trang all increased by 1,000 VND/kg, currently trading at around 53,000 - 54,000 VND/kg, depending on the region.
Live pigs in the remaining provinces and cities continue to be purchased at the same price as yesterday.
The price of live pigs in the Southern region today fluctuates between 52,000 - 56,000 VND/kg.
* According to preliminary statistics of the General Department of Customs, the country's animal feed export turnover in December 2023 reached over 86 million USD, down 12.7% compared to November 2023 and down 4.8% compared to December 2022.
In total, in 2023, animal feed exports will reach nearly 1.2 billion USD, an increase of 6% compared to 2022.
Animal feed exports to the Chinese market - the largest market, in December 2023 decreased by 13.4% compared to November 2023 and remained almost unchanged compared to December 2022, reaching 37.65 million USD. In general, export turnover to this market in 2023 reached 577.41 million USD, an increase of 30.1% compared to 2022, accounting for 48.3% of the total export turnover of this group of goods nationwide.
Animal feed exports to the Cambodian market - the second largest market in 2023 increased by 1.2% compared to 2022, reaching 166.73 million USD, accounting for 13.9% of the total turnover; in December 2023 alone, it decreased by 10.2% compared to November 2023 but increased by 5.6% compared to December 2022, reaching over 11.18 million USD.
The Malaysian market ranked third in terms of turnover, reaching 117.84 million USD, up 28.2% compared to 2022; in December 2023 alone, it decreased by 2.9% compared to November 2023 but increased by 8.3% compared to December 2022, reaching 9.19 million USD.
