Returning to attend the Homeland Spring Program and visiting the Vietnam Fatherland Front - the common home of the great national unity bloc, many overseas Vietnamese shared their national pride in the warm and respectful care from the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front and people for the overseas Vietnamese community. This is also an opportunity for overseas Vietnamese from all over the world to connect the feelings of overseas Vietnamese with their homeland to join the country in rising strongly in the new era.
Strengthening solidarity, joining hands to contribute towards the homeland
Ms. Pham Nguyen Nhu Quynh - Vice President of the Vietnamese Student Association in Thailand, Representative of the Overseas Vietnamese Delegation in Thailand said: As a graduate student at Chulalongkorn University (Thailand), after 5 years of studying abroad, this is the first time I have returned to celebrate Tet in Vietnam, and also the first time I have participated in the Homeland Spring Program.
It is a great pleasure and pride to represent more than 1,000 Vietnamese students studying in Thailand to attend with the outstanding overseas Vietnamese delegates. It is even more honorable to represent the Vietnamese Student Association in Thailand to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the program. That is the achievement that the Vietnamese Student Association in Thailand has contributed to, building the overseas student community, the Vietnamese community abroad in general and in Thailand in particular to become increasingly stronger.
From then on, each young person, Vietnamese students like us, are more aware of our responsibility in strengthening solidarity, joining hands to contribute towards our homeland, especially in building and promoting the image of the country and the Vietnamese people, helping the image of a beautiful Vietnam to be increasingly known to international friends. I believe that this has practical significance, contributing to bringing the country into a new era - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.
Proud and happy to contribute to building the country
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Liem - Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Chungnam Province (Korea) said: After 8 years living in Korea, when I returned to Vietnam and especially attended the Homeland Spring Program, the first thing I felt was the warmth when I saw typical overseas Vietnamese from all over the world gathering in their homeland, with all different components.
This is also a good opportunity for everyone to exchange, learn and connect. Personally, I see that overseas Vietnamese have always received special attention from the Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front, with warm feelings and gestures towards overseas Vietnamese living and working abroad over the past time. In that spirit, when attending the Homeland Spring Program, not only me but everyone felt very proud, happy, and importantly, aware of their wishes and plans to contribute their small part to the overall development of the country, especially in firmly consolidating the great national unity bloc.
With my experience and understanding of the Vietnamese community in Korea, I will continue to connect overseas Vietnamese through cultural and sports activities, which are also opportunities to connect Vietnam and Korea. By focusing on supporting the connection between Vietnamese and Korean businesses, bringing Korean business delegations to Vietnamese localities to learn and connect, I will strive to implement these activities more practically and effectively in the future.
Attracting overseas intellectuals to contribute to the Fatherland
Mr. Vu Hoang Duc - Chairman of the Vietnam - Japan Economic Cooperation Promotion Association said: I am very honored to attend the Homeland Spring Program. Based on my experience of living and working when establishing my own business in Japan, I realize that promoting Vietnam - Japan economic cooperation in the past was very necessary, and now it is even more necessary to focus on connecting businesses of the two countries.
In line with the pace of economic development in the world, Vietnam needs to learn from the economic practices of foreign enterprises, especially Japan, with slow but steady progress. I am far from my homeland but I see that Resolution 57 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation is one of the very correct policies of the Party. Without science and technology, without artificial intelligence, it will be difficult to develop the country.
From there, it is necessary to attract more intellectuals, scientists, and inventors who have helped the host country, and invite them to realize their responsibility to contribute to the development of Vietnam's economy with what they have learned from abroad and contributed to the Fatherland. There is no other way, this is the right time for Vietnam to reach out to the world, to reach out to have "miraculous" economic development steps thanks to innovation, science and technology, especially mobilizing the contribution of Vietnamese intellectuals abroad.
Connecting, sharing and empowering knowledge for the young generation of Vietnam
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang - representative of the Overseas Vietnamese Delegation in Finland shared: Having settled in Finland for 15 years, this time returning to Vietnam and attending the Homeland Spring Program, I feel excited and eager as if I were returning home to celebrate Tet with my family.
I really appreciate the affection and concern of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, which has always created conditions and thought of overseas Vietnamese, taking care of them so that they can return home to celebrate Tet in the most convenient and joyful way. Through the program, I hope that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to create more opportunities for Vietnamese intellectuals in localities to attend forums, meet Vietnamese intellectuals abroad, and create more connections and exchanges.
Finland is known for its world-class education system, so I hope that in the future, we will continue to bring many meaningful programs in Finland about education, new educational methods, and share more with school systems in Vietnam, especially schools in remote areas, to help the young generation of Vietnam gain knowledge.
