The first phase of the National Music and Dance Festival 2024 will take place from November 21 to 30 at Vinh Phuc Provincial Theater, Vinh Yen City.
Each participating unit performs a program lasting from 60-110 minutes, spanning many genres from mixed music, symphonies, opera to Broadway.
Entries must meet strict requirements: from themes praising the homeland and country to technical standards for live performance.
In particular, the competition program needs to demonstrate the richness and diversity of art, bearing the mark of national culture or harmoniously combining with modern Western forms.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will award Gold and Silver Medals to outstanding programs, performances and roles, along with many special awards to honor creative individuals and collectives.
This is an opportunity to discover and honor artistic talents, while encouraging creativity, innovation and diversification of performance forms.
Previously, the festival was scheduled to take place from September 7-16, 2024, but had to be postponed due to the impact of storm No. 3. However, the event still maintains its goal of becoming a "big playground" for artists to freely create, develop their talents and spread artistic values.
The National Music and Dance Festival - 2024 is one of the major cultural events, contributing to preserving and promoting traditional artistic values, while bringing Vietnamese art to integrate more deeply with the world.
