The Vietnam Musicians Association in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Sports of Hai Phong City has just organized the 2024 Vietnam Music Awards ceremony for 76 authors with award-winning works.
On the evening of December 15, the 2024 Vietnam Music Awards ceremony was held at the Hai Phong City Theater.
Attending the award ceremony were Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Khac Nam; Associate Professor, Dr. Do Hong Quan, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations; Major General, musician Duc Trinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association; People's Artist Nguyen Xuan Bac, Director of the Department of Performing Arts, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

At the award ceremony, the Arts Council awarded 4 A prizes, 25 B prizes, 27 C prizes, 13 consolation prizes; 5 Golden Sol prizes, 2 Silver Sol prizes, and a certificate of merit for 1 performance program.
The Vietnam Musicians Association Music Awards honor musicians, artists and outstanding musical creations in the fields of composition, performance, critical theory and training.
Thereby continuing to encourage musicians, artists, music critics, and music educators to continue to create and contribute to the country's music in particular and the country's cultural and artistic development in general.
Through the music awards of the Vietnam Musicians Association, the creative artistic achievements of each musician and artist are also accumulated, serving as a basis for advancing to higher awards of the Party and State in the field of Literature and Arts.
The group of authors won the B prize at the 2024 Vietnam Music Awards ceremony.
In 2024, the Organizing Committee received 241 works from 241 authors who are members of the Vietnam Musicians Association from all provinces and cities across the country.
Specifically, the vocal genre has 202 works; instrumental music has 23 works; 16 theoretical works, including monographs, collections - research, textbooks and collections of articles on music; and 59 performance programs of various categories.
2024 is also the year that the Vietnam Musicians Association will add the Golden Sol Award category within the Vietnam Music Awards system organized by the Vietnam Musicians Association to honor musical products with high artistic value and outstanding contributions to the development of advanced Vietnamese music with strong national identity.
The Sol Gold and Sol Silver awards are given to live shows, live concerts, MVs, Albums... and special awards for producers, directors, recordings, excellent songs, singers, typical artists... The Art Council consists of musicians and prestigious experts inside and outside the Vietnam Musicians Association established by the Organizing Committee.
At the award ceremony, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Khac Nam said that Hai Phong was honored to be chosen as the host city to organize the Vietnam Music Awards 2024. Through this honoring event, the city and people of Hai Phong will be a source of new creative inspiration for authors to create new works.
“The people of Hai Phong hope to soon receive quality works about people and Hai Phong City on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong's liberation - the Red Flamboyant Festival in 2025,” the Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee expressed his wish.
