Filip Nguyen is very happy to return to his father's homeland to play for the Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) and fulfill his dream of playing for the Vietnam national team.

Filip Nguyen shared at the contract signing ceremony with CAHN Club: “I have returned home. The dream has come true. I would like to thank the fans who have always accompanied, cheered and encouraged me in the past and in the future.
I would like to thank VFF and the Board of Directors of CAHN Club for trusting and choosing me as the club's number one goalkeeper.
I especially thank my father who helped me realize my dream, who encouraged and persevered with me on the path to realizing my dream. I thank my family, especially my wife and son, who supported my dream of returning to my homeland.
I would also like to thank the Czech Football Federation, Slovacko Club and my teammates for giving me experiences and supporting my father's desire to return to his homeland to compete, which I have always cherished."
The Vietnamese-American goalkeeper emphasized: "I will try my best on the field to bring joy to the club, to my family, and try to fulfill the common mission. I hope that fans, family, and friends will always support and encourage me.
I hope that the club, the coaching staff and my teammates will always help me in the integration process. I always believe that I and the CAHN Club have a destiny, because I have half Lac Hong blood. Don't just listen to what I say, look at what I do."
Filip Nguyen will sign a 3-year contract with CAHN Club, with an option to extend. If Filip Nguyen performs well and is satisfied with the club, he can stay with the team until the end of his career.
Regarding salary and signing bonus, both sides kept the information confidential. However, recently, the Czech press revealed that when persuading Filip Nguyen at the beginning of the season, CAHN offered to pay 400,000 Euros (more than 10 billion VND) for a 3-year contract.
Goalkeeper Filip Nguyen, whose father is Vietnamese and mother is Czech Republic, grew up at the Sparta Prague youth academy. He played in the 2021/2022 UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying round when Slovacko Club had a match against Lokomotiv Plovdiv.
Filip Nguyen was once called up to the Czech Republic national team to prepare for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers but was not used. Therefore, by playing for CAHN in the V-League, the Vietnamese-American goalkeeper hopes to soon be able to wear the Vietnamese national team jersey.
