Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company said it has just adjusted the North-South passenger train schedule after summer, continuing to apply many promotional programs to reduce ticket prices.
Accordingly, from September 6, the railway will regularly run 4 pairs of Thong Nhat passenger trains SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8. Departing from Hanoi station, train SE1 departs at 9:10 p.m. and arrives at Saigon station at 8:25 a.m.; train SE3 departs at 7:20 p.m. and arrives at 6:30 a.m.; train SE5 departs at 3:30 p.m. and arrives at 5:40 a.m.; train SE7 departs at 6:10 a.m. and arrives at 6:36 p.m.
In the opposite direction, departing from Saigon station, train SE2 departs at 20:50, arriving at Hanoi station at 8:30; train SE4 departs at 19:00, arriving at 5:55; train SE6 departs at 15:25, arriving at 4:40; train SE8 departs at 6:00, arriving at 19:12.

For the SE21/SE22 train pairs, the SE21/SE22 train pair Da Nang - Saigon, train SE21 departs from Da Nang station at 10:35, arrives at Saigon station at 6:00.
Train pair SNT1/SNT2 Nha Trang - Saigon, train SNT1 departs Nha Trang station at 19:50, arrives at Saigon station at 4:30; train SNT2 departs Saigon station at 20:00, arrives at Nha Trang station at 5:40.
Train pair SPT1/SPT2 Phan Thiet - Saigon, train SPT1 departs Phan Thiet station at 13:10, arrives at Saigon station at 17:35; train SPT2 departs Saigon station at 6:45, arrives at Phan Thiet station at 10:40.
In the North Central region, according to Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company, the railway also adjusted the train times for the NA1/NA2 Hanoi - Vinh and SE19/SE20 Hanoi - Da Nang trains. Specifically, departing from Hanoi station, train NA1 runs at 9:50 p.m. and arrives at Vinh station at 5:25 a.m.; train SE19 runs at 7:50 p.m. and arrives at Da Nang station at 12:38 p.m. In the opposite direction, train NA2 departs from Vinh station at 10:10 p.m. and arrives at 5:15 a.m.; train SE20 departs from Da Nang station at 6:10 p.m. and arrives at 11:30 a.m.
The railway still applies many promotional programs and ticket discounts after the summer to attract passengers to travel during the low season. Accordingly, until September 30, 2023, the stimulus program "9,000 tickets with a 30% discount" will be applied to customers who buy tickets 3 days or more before the departure date; discounted tickets are fixed with a specific number of seats on each train brand. Applicable to tickets for the SE3/SE4 pair of trains running from Monday to Wednesday, the SE7/SE8 pair of trains running from Monday to Thursday, tickets with a travel distance of 400km or more. On the remaining days of the week, tickets for these two pairs of trains with a distance of 500km or more will be applied.
For train pair SE21/SE22 Saigon - Da Nang, discount program applies to tickets with travel distance of 400km or more; train pair SNT1/SNT2 Saigon - Nha Trang, tickets with travel distance of 250km or more; train pair SPT1/SPT2 Saigon - Phan Thiet, tickets with travel distance of 150km or more.
In addition, a discount policy for individual tickets purchased far from the departure date is applied. Customers purchasing SE3/SE4, SE7/SE8 train tickets with a travel distance of over 900km, SE21/SE22 train tickets with a travel distance of over 600km, SNT1/SNT2 train tickets with a travel distance of over 300km, when 5-9 days before the departure date, will receive a 5% discount on the ticket price.
Similarly, 10-19 days in advance get 10% discount; 20-39 days in advance get 20% discount; 40 days or more in advance get 30% discount. However, this discount program does not apply to 4-berth cabins on trains SE3, SNT1, SNT2.
