Pepper price today March 7, 2025 in the domestic market increased in key localities, trading from 156,000 - 161,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, pepper price today in Gia Lai is at 158,000 VND/kg.

Thus, pepper prices today increased in Dak Nong, Dak Lak and Gia Lai, an increase of 1,200 - 1,500 VND/kg, while remaining stable in the remaining growing areas. The highest pepper price is at 161,000 VND/kg.
These days, farmers are rushing to enter the 2025 pepper harvest. According to Dak Nong newspaper , this year, most pepper gardens in the province have achieved productivity, combined with record high prices, so farmers are extremely excited.
In particular, at cooperative households producing pepper in an organic direction, the selling price is 30% - 40% higher than the market price. The family of Ms. Dao Thi Cuc in Hamlet 6, Nhan Co Commune, Dak R'lap District, has just finished harvesting 3 hectares of pepper, with an output of about 10 tons. Currently, the price of pepper on the market is fluctuating between 150,000 - 160,000 VND/kg.
However, because Ms. Cuc's pepper acreage is grown organically, she can sell it for over 200,000 VND/kg. Not only does it sell for a high price, growing organic pepper also helps limit diseases and has a more stable yield than conventional pepper farming.
Currently, the production of clean pepper in a sustainable direction is developing strongly in key pepper growing localities of Dak Nong.
In Vietnam, pepper output has also decreased because farmers have converted part of their acreage to other crops. The decrease in output while demand increases will help keep pepper prices high, giving farmers better income.
Mr. Prakash Jhanwer, Director of OFI (USA), commented that Vietnam is the capital of many agricultural products such as rice, coffee, pepper with a very high trade surplus; in which, pepper is considered the "black gold" of Vietnam and still has a lot of room for growth.
In the world market, at the end of the most recent trading session, the International Pepper Community (IPC) listed the price of Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) at 7,360 USD/ton, up 0.43%; the price of Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 at 6,850 USD/ton; the price of Kuching black pepper (Malaysia) ASTA at 9,700 USD/ton.
