Many unique and attractive tourism products have become the brand of Yen Bai tourism.

Despite facing severe damage from storm No. 3, by the end of 2024, Yen Bai province's tourism industry has achieved very positive results. The entire tourism industry is estimated to welcome nearly 2.3 million visitors, exceeding the set plan and increasing over the same period. Of which, international visitors are estimated at nearly 290 thousand; tourism revenue reached over 1,900 billion VND. Along with solutions to stimulate the domestic tourism market, while strengthening the development of new tourism products and services suitable for the potential tourist market, Yen Bai has gradually become an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists.

Tourism promotion, advertising and promotion activities have been innovated, combining many creative forms, from applying digital technology, using social networks. Effective communication campaigns, enhancing the recognition of the province's tourism image, attracting the participation of the community and businesses such as: displaying and screening Yen Bai province's tourism publications and films on airplanes and at Noi Bai airport; publishing and printing promotional documents about Yen Bai tourism in many languages ​​... have contributed to bringing the image of Yen Bai province to many localities and countries around the world.

Yen Bai province has also brought its image to more tourists through fairs and cultural tourism events nationwide: Exhibition "Travel through Vietnam's heritage and scenic spots" within the framework of National Tourism Year - Dien Bien 2024; Space for displaying and introducing OCOP products of Yen Bai province at "Vietnam Family Festival" in 2024, in Hai Phong City; 2nd Hanoi Autumn Festival in 2024; Ban Flower Festival of Dien Bien province; VITM - Hanoi International Tourism Fair; Lai Chau Tourism and Culture Week; Northwest Dien Bien Tourism Fair... Along with that, a framework agreement on cooperation was signed with Yamanashi province (Japan) in September 2024 on 5 main areas of cooperation, including tourism. Yen Bai province, along with 7 Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City, continue to implement the tourism development cooperation program; Implementing tourism development cooperation with Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, Nghe An provinces to expand the market to attract tourists to Yen Bai. Through participating in cultural and tourism events, the province's tourism industry contributes to expanding the tourist market and gradually affirming the reputation, image and brand of Yen Bai tourism. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for Yen Bai to connect with domestic and foreign tourism markets.

Many unique and attractive tourism products have become the brand of Yen Bai tourism such as: Cinnamon Festival in Van Yen district; Dao ethnic cultural festival in Tan Phuong commune; Pay Tai festival in Lam Thuong commune (Luc Yen district), Dong Cuong Temple Festival in 2024; Na Hau forest worshiping ceremony; Suoi Giang Shan Tuyet tea festival; Gau Tao festival (Tram Tau district); National intangible cultural heritage "Xen Dong" (Forest worshiping) ceremony of Thai people in Nghia Lo town; Festival to honor the ancestral tea tree and Suoi Giang tea party night; tourism activities "Water pouring season"... The events and festivals organized have helped tourists have interesting experiences, deep impressions, unforgettable about Yen Bai - the place where the colors of the Northwest converge, the land of beautiful nature with friendly, benevolent, hospitable people to settle emotions through unique, sophisticated traditional cultural values ​​containing stories about the worldview, the nature of the mountainous region full of life to love and appreciate the values ​​of heritage and especially the festival contributes to creating livelihoods for the community - where tourists come.

Clearly identifying the important role of tourism infrastructure, in recent years, the tourism industry, especially businesses and localities, have continuously built modern and convenient destinations in the eyes of tourists. Currently, in the whole province, there are 6 businesses registered to organize tourism business, including 4 domestic travel businesses, 1 international travel business and 1 travel agency. The tourism infrastructure system has gradually developed, meeting the needs of tourists. In the province, a number of high-class hotels have been and are being formed. Currently, the whole province has 564 accommodation establishments, 16 of which are ranked 1-3 stars; 147 accommodation establishments meet the minimum requirements on technical facilities and services for hotels and motels, including 3,821 rooms and 5,938 beds; The type of accommodation with rooms for tourists to rent (homestay) has 270 households, of which 139 establishments meet the minimum requirements for technical facilities and services for accommodation with rooms for tourists to rent; 131 establishments do not meet the requirements for operating tourist accommodation services.

2024 is also the first year that Yen Bai province organizes the Tour Guide Competition as an affirmation of the industry: developing tourism infrastructure, developing tourism routes in parallel with improving the quality of the workforce in the tourism industry; improving the quality of tourism services, promoting the image of local tourism and developing sustainable tourism. The old year has passed with many difficulties, but the tourism industry has successfully overcome the storm. With the results achieved, with the experience gained, 2025 Yen Bai tourism industry will certainly be a year with many more proud achievements.
