Thanks to investment in completing the transport infrastructure system connecting villages and destinations, exploiting the strengths of nature and culture, developing unique tourism products, Binh Lieu tourism has recently had a strong development. If in 2015 it only welcomed over 33,000 visitors, in 2024 the district will welcome over 220,000 visitors.

In order to serve the goal of socio-economic development, especially tourism, in recent years, the district has continuously invested in and upgraded traffic routes. In 2020, the district completed the system of traffic works connecting to all villages and hamlets with a total length of more than 250km. In 2023, the district implemented the project to renovate and upgrade the inter-commune road Huc Dong - Dong Van - Cao Ba Lanh connecting to National Highway 18C. In 2024, the district implemented projects under the Project to renovate and upgrade rural traffic in the province for the period 2024-2025, with a vision to 2030; including a number of projects directly related to tourist routes and destinations in the district, such as Cao Ly peak, Cao Ba Lanh peak, Khe Tien waterfall, Khe Van waterfall, Song Mooc A, B... In addition, the district is interested in encouraging and creating conditions for people to actively participate in tourism development. To date, the district has 40 accommodation establishments (3 hotels, 24 motels, 13 homestays) with over 318 rooms, along with 60 restaurants and eateries.
In recent times, the district has accelerated the implementation of Plan No. 161/KH-UBND dated June 21, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee on piloting the construction, preservation and promotion of the cultural identity of 4 ethnic minority villages associated with the development of community tourism in the mountainous areas of the province in the period of 2023-2025. Up to now, the district has completed 2 detailed construction plans at a scale of 1/500 for rural residential areas combined with cultural - tourism villages, preserving and developing the culture of the Tay ethnic group in Ban Cau village, Luc Hon commune; Detailed construction plans at a scale of 1/500 for rural residential areas combined with cultural - tourism villages, preserving and developing the culture of the San Chi ethnic group in Luc Ngu village, Huc Dong commune, Binh Lieu district with a total capital of 1 billion VND.
In particular, in Khe Tien village (Dong Van commune), the construction of 2 traditional homestays simulating the Dao people's rammed earth houses has been completed; in 3 villages of Khe Moi, Khe Tien, Song Mooc (Dong Van commune), models of people helping each other develop community tourism have been formed.

In 2024, along with maintaining the organization of popular tourism activities such as Culture - Tourism Week, Golden Season Festival, So Flower Festival, Luc Na Communal House Festival, Soong Co Festival, and Kien Gio Festival; the district also introduced two new tourism products to serve tourists: San Chi women's football and trekking in Dong Van; organized performance spaces, introducing the folk culture of the Tay, San Chi and Dao Thanh Phan ethnic groups to a large number of tourists. In 2024, the district welcomed a famtrip delegation of nearly 50 inbound travel agencies to survey tourist routes, thereby promoting the reception of international visitors to Binh Lieu.
With investment in developing transport infrastructure, converging landscape and cultural values; being proactive, creative and having its own path in tourism, Binh Lieu promises to become a cultural and community tourism center of the province, expecting to welcome more and more tourists to visit, experience and explore.
