Khanh Hoa welcomes more than 9 million visitors

On September 28, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Le Thanh said that Khanh Hoa tourism industry reached the finish line 3 months early when it exceeded the goals set for 2024.

Specifically, in the first 9 months of 2024, the total number of visitors staying in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa reached 9 million, an increase of 57.9% over the same period (achieving 100% of the plan for 2024).

Of which, international visitors reached 3.6 million, up 147.9% over the same period (exceeding 20% ​​of the 2024 plan). Domestic visitors reached 5.4 million, up 27.2% over the same period (reaching 90% of the 2024 plan). Notably, total tourism revenue reached VND 44,138.4 billion, up 61.9% over the same period (exceeding 10% of the 2024 plan).

The Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism said that the above results were the efforts of the entire industry and businesses and accommodation establishments. “In addition to the successful tourism promotion and promotion activities and the organization of national and international events such as the International Bay of Light Festival, the Sea Tourism Festival, the Kite Awards, etc., Khanh Hoa tourism has reached the finish line ahead of schedule,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh added that in early October, Khanh Hoa will organize activities and events to announce that Khanh Hoa province has reached 9 million tourists. At the same time, it will launch a tourism stimulus campaign with the theme "Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism, Come to Love".

At the same time, a stimulus program of price reduction and promotion is being implemented at all accommodation and tourism service businesses in the last 3 months of the year.

“Currently, the number of international visitors is growing well and the locality is about to have more direct flights from Korea, China, etc. In 2024, Khanh Hoa tourism strives to welcome 10 million overnight visitors. Of which, there are about 4 million international visitors. With the current growth rate, the target of welcoming 13.8 million tourists by 2030 set by the Provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee can also be achieved soon,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh shared.

Ninh Thuan tourism accelerates

Along with Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan tourism industry also received good news when it exceeded the target of welcoming 3.2 million visitors in 2024, reaching the finish line 3 months ahead of schedule.

Specifically, in the first 9 months of 2024, the total number of visitors to Ninh Thuan reached more than 3.2 million, an increase of 20% over the same period, reaching 100.1% of the plan. Of which, the number of guests staying and relaxing is estimated at 2.3 million, and the number of visitors is 904,000. Total tourism revenue reached 3,662 billion VND.

The number of visitors to Ninh Thuan is mainly domestic with more than 3.11 million arrivals, international visitors are estimated at 87,000 arrivals (up 194% over the same period, reaching 87% of the year's plan).

According to the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Thuan province, in the first 9 months of 2024, tourism and service activities in the province were focused on improving quality, diversifying products, and giving priority to friendly attitudes... to satisfy tourists.

Currently, Ninh Thuan is implementing many tasks to continue developing the traditional international tourist markets of Russia and Eastern Europe. At the same time, it is focusing on attracting tourists from Korea, China and India.

At the same time, target high-end customers of existing markets, develop new markets with novel tourism products, improved quality products, etc., thereby completing the above goal of welcoming international visitors.

In addition, this locality is also promoting links and cooperation in tourism development with provinces and cities to build attractive programs, tours and tourist routes to attract tourists.

Notably, in December 2024, the 6th Cham Cultural Festival, chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province, in coordination with the provinces of Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Binh Thuan, An Giang, Tay Ninh, Quang Nam, Da Nang City and Ho Chi Minh City, is expected to take place in Ninh Thuan province, which is expected to be a driving force for the local tourism industry to make a breakthrough in 2025.
