In recent times, the local tourism industry has always paid attention to implementing Resolution No. 10 of the Provincial Party Committee (term XIV) on digital transformation to 2025, with a vision to 2030 and tasks related to digital transformation in Binh Thuan. Accordingly, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has actively deployed a number of platforms, applying information technology to activities in this field: Binh Thuan Smart Tourism Information Portal, experiencing virtual reality tourism space. Next is the deployment of the Tourism Trade Floor, Online Tourism Fair, using QR codes at tourist attractions for visitors to look up information about tourist attractions by scanning QR codes. Or proceeding to build 3D digitalization of some tourist areas (Ho Chi Minh Museum - Binh Thuan Branch, Provincial Party Committee Base Relic Site), promoting tourism promotion and communication through social networking platforms such as Facebook, Youtube, Tiktok, Instagram...

Along with that, the local postal and telecommunications network infrastructure continues to be invested in a modern direction and gradually improves the quality of services. Thanks to that, communication is guaranteed to be smooth, meeting the needs of socio-economic development of the province in general and serving the development of Binh Thuan tourism in particular. It is known that up to now, 3G and 4G network infrastructure has covered almost all key tourist areas in the province. Currently, telecommunications enterprises have deployed the installation of many 5G stations for testing in the center of Phan Thiet coastal tourist city and surrounding areas. In addition, the locality also considers coordinating with large corporations to implement smart tourism projects, digital transformation, building a smart tourism ecosystem, smart utilities to serve the development of Binh Thuan tourism.

In the third quarter of 2023, the Provincial People's Committee issued the Plan "Application of Industry 4.0 technology to develop smart tourism, promote tourism to become a spearhead economic sector". Thereby aiming to develop a smart tourism ecosystem in Binh Thuan, meeting the increasing needs of tourists in the digital age, making tourism a spearhead economic sector, ensuring sustainable development and international integration... The plan also sets out a number of requirements such as developing smart tourism on the basis of taking tourists as the center, attracting more and more international tourists to Vietnam and promoting the increase of domestic tourists... Therefore, for the development of applications, the locality will focus on the following groups: Applications to support tourists; Applications to support state management of tourism; Applications to support and manage smart destinations; Applications to support and manage smart businesses.

Also in August, the People's Committee developed and issued a plan to implement a digital transformation program in Phu Quy island district with the goal of comprehensive digital transformation in Phu Quy, building the image of a modern and dynamic island district and providing many convenient services for people, tourists and businesses. At the same time, Phu Quy becomes an attractive destination both domestically and internationally, creating momentum for socio-economic development and improving and enhancing the quality of life of people and increasing local budget revenue. Accordingly, in the digital transformation in the tourism sector, digital platforms for tourism will be deployed to improve the quality of tourism activities in Phu Quy. Increase the experience and convenience for tourists as well as attract visitors for the first time and return to the island district the following times, increase tourist consumption...
