On the evening of August 5, a working group of Ho Chi Minh City Police coordinated with District 7 Police to conduct surprise administrative inspections at a number of locations.

At the Homie business (Le Van Thiem Street, Tan Phong Ward, District 7), owned by Tran Quoc Thoi (25 years old, from Ca Mau), the working group discovered that they were trading in N2O gas (also known as "laughing gas", which is on the list of chemicals restricted from production and trading in the industrial sector).

During the inspection and handling of illegal "laughing gas" business activities, the working group also discovered a series of violations by Homie business households related to the fields of trade, fire prevention and fighting, and labor safety.

Expanding the inspection of the Homie 2 business household (Tran Trong Cung Street, Tan Thuan Dong Ward, District 7) managed by Huynh Ha Nguyen (25 years old, residing locally), the working group continued to discover illegal trading of "laughing gas", many goods without invoices and documents, violations of fire prevention and fighting, labor safety... similar to the main facility.

The police discovered 3 subjects who organized the use of marijuana, including: PCT, LBN, LNBK (all 24 years old). It is known that these 3 people were classmates at school, and many times invited each other to use marijuana at the Homie 2 business.

Police seized a total of 8 laughing gas cylinders (47.5kg), dozens of kilograms of balloons used to fill with laughing gas, hundreds of clothing products without invoices or documents...

The police are currently investigating the illegal acts of Tran Quoc Thoi, the owner of the Homie and Homie 2 businesses, and tracing the origin of the laughing gas and marijuana; clarifying the roles of related subjects to handle them according to the law.
