Coach Hoang Anh Tuan's first move after resigning from Binh Duong

Binh Duong Club has reached an agreement to part ways with coach Hoang Anh Tuan after a team meeting on the afternoon of December 9. The coach from Khanh Hoa submitted a resignation letter for family reasons and was approved by the team's leadership. The Binh Duong Club's leadership themselves also want to find a new wind, after a poor start in the V-League 2024 - 2025.

On his personal page, Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan sent greetings to Binh Duong Club: "I would like to sincerely thank the leaders of the provincial party committee, committee, and club leaders for always providing maximum support to me personally as well as the Binh Duong Club. I would like to thank Binh Duong football fans for always standing side by side with the team throughout the past time.

I wish Binh Duong Club much success in the future, worthy of the expectations and brand of Binh Duong football team. Thank you to my beloved colleagues and players, thank you to the club's staff and employees for the days of hard work together."

Coach Hoang Anh Tuan and many assistants say goodbye to Binh Duong Club

Coach Hoang Anh Tuan is expected to rest and spend time with his family before looking for a new opportunity. Mr. Tuan used to lead Khanh Hoa and Hai Phong, before taking on the position of leading Vietnam's youth teams under a contract with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). Coach Hoang Anh Tuan once led Vietnam U.20 to the 2017 U.20 World Cup, then helped Vietnam U.23 win the 2023 Southeast Asian U.23 Championship.

At the beginning of the 2024 - 2025 season, coach Hoang Anh Tuan took over from Mr. Le Huynh Duc to lead Binh Duong Club. Although unbeaten in the first 2 matches of the season, winning 4 points against Thanh Hoa and Hai Phong, Binh Duong Club went downhill afterwards with unstable performance.

In the last 4 matches that Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan took charge, the team from Thu Dau Mot only won 1. The defeats with the minimum score against Hanoi Police Club, The Cong Viettel and Hanoi, the 1-1 draw with the bottom team Da Nang, or the 1-4 defeat against Nam Dinh at home made the position of coach Hoang Anh Tuan shaky.

After coach Hoang Anh Tuan and most of the coaching staff left, assistant Nguyen Cong Manh was retained by Binh Duong Club in an interim role. Assistant Nguyen Cong Manh used to play for SLNA Club with the 1982 generation of Duong Hong Son, Phan Thanh Hoan, Chu Ngoc Canh... who won the national U.21 championship 3 times (2000, 2001, 2002).

Mr. Manh spent a long time as an assistant for Ha Tinh Club under coach Pham Minh Duc and then Nguyen Thanh Cong, before leaving the Central team to complete a coaching course, receiving the highest AFC certificate, AFC Pro.
