New impetus for Binh Dinh sports

At the recent meeting, the Provincial People's Council passed two important resolutions for coaches and athletes in Binh Dinh province in general and individuals with outstanding achievements in domestic and international sports competitions in particular. These policies will certainly have a positive impact on coaches and athletes, bringing many impressive achievements to Binh Dinh sports in the future.

Create healthy competition among athletes

For many years, Binh Dinh sports has had an unreasonable situation where athletes on the same team receive the same nutritional level, regardless of whether the athlete has achieved high results in domestic and international competitions or has not achieved any results. This has somewhat reduced the athletes' will to strive, especially athletes with many achievements. Therefore, when the Regulation on a number of policies for coaches and athletes of Binh Dinh province who have achieved excellent results in domestic and international sports competitions was approved, depending on the achievements, athletes will receive corresponding support levels for a period of 1 - 4 years (according to the tournament organization cycle). Accordingly, the highest support level is 14 million VND/person/month for 1 year for coaches and athletes who win gold medals at the World Championships; the lowest support level is 600 thousand VND/person/month for 1 year for coaches and athletes who win bronze medals at the national championships.

Regulations on a number of policies for coaches and athletes of Binh Dinh province who have achieved excellent results in domestic and international sports competitions are applied to coaches and high-performance athletes who focus on training, practicing, training and participating in competitions at team levels. This is considered an important and meaningful policy, stimulating the spirit of creativity and effort in training and practice of coaches and athletes to reach new heights.

Senior martial artist Tran Duy Linh, Director of Binh Dinh Traditional Martial Arts Center, said: “The monthly allowance for athletes who achieve excellent results in national and international competitions will help them have more conditions and motivation to practice and improve their achievements. In addition, athletes who have not achieved any results will also try harder to achieve good results and receive monthly support. This policy creates healthy competition among athletes, thus contributing to the improvement of Binh Dinh's sports achievements.”

Convenient selection, peace of mind to contribute

Also at the recent Provincial People's Council meeting, the Resolution regulating the nutrition regime, regular training and training wages and bonus regime for coaches and athletes of Binh Dinh province was also passed. Accordingly, the regular nutrition regime of coaches and athletes of the provincial team is currently 100,000 VND/person/day; coaches and athletes of the provincial youth team 90,000 VND/person/day; athletes of the provincial gifted team 80,000 VND/person/day; coaches of the provincial gifted team 70,000 VND/person/day. In the near future, it will be increased accordingly: coaches and athletes of the provincial team 200,000 VND/person/day; coaches and athletes of the provincial youth team 160,000 VND/person/day; coaches and athletes of the provincial gifted team 120,000 VND/person/day.

With the policies just approved by the Provincial People's Council, it will certainly have a positive impact on coaches and athletes, bringing many impressive achievements to Binh Dinh sports in the future.

Binh Dinh Taekwondo Team Coach Dinh Quang Dong said: “In the past, the selection of athletes encountered many difficulties, when the families of the players were concerned about the low nutritional level, which was difficult to ensure the comprehensive development of the body during the “growing age”. However, with the nutrition level and salary that will be applied soon, this concern will be greatly reduced, and the selection of athletes will be more favorable”.

According to the new resolution, training and practice wages will also be increased. Specifically, the provincial team coaches, provincial youth teams, provincial gifted teams, and provincial team athletes will receive wages from 80,000 VND/person/day to 140,000 VND/person/day; provincial youth team athletes will receive wages from 40,000 VND/person/day to 70,000 VND/person/day; provincial gifted team athletes will receive wages from 30,000 VND/person/day to 50,000 VND/person/day. Coaches and athletes will receive wages for 26 days/month in accordance with reality, instead of only 22 days/month as currently applied.

Coach of Binh Dinh handball team Nguyen Thai Hoa shared: “The increased nutrition and salary regime is very good news for coaches and athletes. Because as we often say “food makes perfect”, once the athletes are provided with enough nutrition, we can apply the right amount of exercises, helping them develop quickly in terms of expertise. With the regular nutrition and salary levels that are about to be applied, coaches and athletes will have better conditions to contribute to Binh Dinh sports in the coming time”.
