At the conference, the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee announced the decisions of the Central Party Committee's Secretariat on personnel work. Accordingly, the Central Party Committee's Secretariat decided to approve comrade Tran Tri Quang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, Acting Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term. At the same time, it decided to approve comrade Phan Van Hop - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Chairman, in charge of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee and comrade Phan Van Thuong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, to join the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term. The Central Party Committee's Secretariat decided to appoint comrade Nguyen The Hong Trung - Chief of the Provincial Party Committee's Office to join the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term.

The conference also approved the reports of the Provincial Party Committee on: the draft Report on the socio-economic situation in the first quarter, key tasks and solutions in the second quarter of 2025; the draft Political Report and the draft Review Report (3rd time) prepared for submission to the 12th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030. According to the draft report, in the first quarter of 2025, the socio-economic situation developed quite well compared to the same period in 2024. Budget revenue in the area reached 25.2% of the estimate; mobilization of development investment capital is estimated at 19.04% of the plan; the urbanization rate reached more than 28%; the rate of rural population using clean water reached over 96%. Social security work was ensured; the investment and business environment was favorable; the implementation of cultural, social and environmental indicators achieved good results; The material and spiritual life of the people is gradually restored and improved, the number of people with jobs is increasing. Social order and safety are ensured, national defense and security are maintained.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and clarifying the advantages, difficulties, and achievements in socio-economic development in localities. At the same time, some delegates proposed solutions that need to be focused on to achieve economic growth targets, overcome existing limitations, develop agriculture, industry, tourism, promote digital transformation, invest in education, ensure national defense and security... in the coming time. In addition, delegates contributed ideas to clarify the results of implementing the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, associated with evaluating the achievements over 40 years of implementing the national renovation in the province; tasks and solutions that need to be focused on to contribute to building and developing Dong Thap province by 2030.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Le Quoc Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged the contributions of the delegates. At the same time, he proposed that in the second quarter of 2025, the Provincial People's Committee review and promptly adjust growth targets in accordance with the direction of the Central Government, especially in the agricultural sector. Sectors and localities continue to promote local strengths and potentials in tourism development, maintain and improve the quality of existing effective products and models to increase attractiveness and promote unique values. Speed ​​up the disbursement of public investment capital, have a reasonable capital allocation plan; pay attention to attracting investment and calling for socialized resources; strengthen administrative reform. Along with that, sectors and localities need to focus on promoting the application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in production fields, and the management of activities in the area.

In addition, Provincial Party Secretary Le Quoc Phong noted that the Standing Committees of the district and city Party Committees organized conferences to discuss and give comments on the draft Political Report of the 11th Provincial Party Committee to be submitted to the 12th Provincial Party Congress. The comments need to be studied in the context of the larger development space of the locality after the reorganization of provincial and commune-level administrative units in accordance with the direction of the Central Government. On that basis, it is necessary to clearly identify limitations, bottlenecks, potentials, strengths, and propose solutions to promote the unique identity of the locality. Sectors and localities need to focus on performing assigned tasks with the spirit of the highest effort, aiming to achieve the best results in 2025.
