Welcoming more than 110,000 visitors, Hue tourism earned 170 billion VND on the occasion of April 30th holiday

Accordingly, in the 5 days from April 27 to May 1, 2024, Thua Thien Hue province is estimated to welcome about 110,000 tourists to the locality, the total number of guests who have booked accommodation is estimated at 58,000 (including about 43,000 domestic guests and 15,000 international guests); total revenue is estimated at 170 billion VND.

The average room occupancy rate of tourist accommodation establishments reached 85%, most hotels, including 4-5 star hotels and homestays were fully booked during the peak days from April 27 to April 30. Resorts or experience services associated with nature such as hills, streams, waterfalls, seas and lagoons... were all fully booked.

Tourists visit Hue on the occasion of April 30 and May 1.

On this occasion, the relic sites of the Hue Monuments Complex also recorded a large number of visitors. From April 27 to April 30 alone, they welcomed 58,385 visitors (of which 43,510 were domestic visitors; 14,875 were international visitors), with revenue of over VND8.7 billion. Compared to the same period, the number of visitors increased by 15.8%, tourism revenue increased by 9.7%.

The Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province added that during the recent holidays, many large-scale festival events were organized in the area that attracted many tourists and locals such as: Hue Traditional Cuisine Week with about 100,000 participants; Thuan An Sea Calling Program attracted about 8,000 participants; Thanh Tile Bridge Night Market, A Luoi and Nam Dong Highland Market also attracted thousands of participants,...

Local festival activities and programs are planned to ensure stability, safety and quality. Tourist accommodation, dining and shopping establishments serving tourists basically ensure security, fire safety, food hygiene, and sell goods at the correct prices listed at the facility.
