After a 14-hour flight and 3-hour transit in Doha, the Vietnamese women's team arrived at Prague airport (Czech Republic) at 8:00 p.m. on September 1 to begin their training period in this country.
Arriving in Prague, the Vietnamese women's team will stay one night at the Emmy Rezidence Hotel, 30 minutes by bus from the airport, then the whole team will move to the Lifestyle Hotel, 7km away and stay here until the end of the training trip.
Before the departure, Coach Mai Duc Chung shortened the list after the domestic training period. Accordingly, 3 players will not continue to accompany the team on this training trip: Ho Thi Thanh Thao (Than KSVN), Ta Thi Thuy (Ha Nam Province Sports and Physical Training Center), and Luu Nhu Quynh (Thai Nguyen T&T).
Sharing about the young players at this training session, defender Chuong Thi Kieu said: “The players are confident and are improving day by day. The physical condition and experience of the young team are different from the seniors, but they will definitely catch up. As seniors, we also give them a lot of advice, hoping that next year they will compete well.”
Assessing the progress of the Philippine women's team, Chuong Thi Kieu said: "The Philippines is improving day by day. They play long balls and play high balls while the Vietnamese team plays short balls and has limited height, so we will have to try to overcome that...".
