Opponents in the U23 Asian qualifiers are all within reach

" I think the opponents are all of equal strength. We will try to practice, compete and dedicate beautiful matches to the fans of the Vietnam U23 team, " striker Nguyen Thanh Nhan shared before the training session on the afternoon of August 30.

The Vietnam U23 team entered the training session with full squad to prepare for the 2024 AFC U23 Championship qualifiers. In this tournament, Coach Troussier's students are in the same group with U23 Yemen, U23 Guam and U23 Singapore.

The players gathered for the national team right after the domestic tournament ended a few days ago. However, all appeared excited and energetic for the upcoming task.

Striker Nguyen Thanh Nhan is confident ahead of the 2024 AFC U23 qualifiers.

Nguyen Thanh Nhan is one of the 35 players called up. The PVF-CAND striker was named in Coach Troussier’s squad for the recent SEA Games 32. However, he did not join the U23 Vietnam team at the U23 Southeast Asia tournament.

This player expressed regret at missing the opportunity to lift the championship. " I feel a little regretful because the home club could not release the player. Therefore, I continued to play in the First Division ," Thanh Nhan confided.

Thanh Nhan scored 10 goals in the 2023 First Division, thereby winning the title of Top Scorer of the tournament. Last year, the striker born in 2003 also achieved a similar achievement. He is expected to lead the attack of U23 Vietnam in the upcoming tournament.

Song Thanh Nhan is modest. He shared: " I think every training session is difficult, so I try my best to be on the list of 23 players participating in the U23 Asian qualifiers. My advantages are speed and dribbling ability ."

" In previous training sessions, I have not shown my best performance. I will try my best to win a starting position, " the striker added.

After this afternoon's training session, tomorrow, August 31, the whole team will move to Phu Tho to prepare for the 2024 U23 Asian qualifiers.
