More than 1,500 artists perform at the program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), 12 art units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a series of special art programs.

More than 1,500 artists, actors, and musicians from the units will spread out across the provinces and cities, performing hundreds of shows to serve the people, with many attractive programs, plays, and performances, demonstrating the significance, great stature, and great value of the Great Spring Victory of 1975, liberating the South, and unifying the country, as well as comprehensively and deeply evaluating the country's development achievements in all fields after 50 years of national unification.

Accordingly, the special programs and plays were elaborately staged by the units, rich in art, and performed from April 18 to 30, such as: Vietnam Opera Theater brought the plays to the audience of Si Ma Cai district (Lao Cai); Vietnam Cheo Theater performed the plays Quan Am Thi Kinh, Bac Le sacred temple at Kim Ma Theater (Hanoi); Viet Bac Folk Song and Dance Theater brought the programs to perform for the audience in Lang Son and Cao Bang provinces; Vietnam Drama Theater performed the plays Nguoi di sandal cao su and Dem trang at No. 1 Trang Tien (Hanoi); Vietnam Puppet Theater performed for the people of Kien Giang province...

The highlight of the series of performances is the Special Concert to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification, conducted by conductor Honna Tetsuji (Japan); international pianist Nguyen Viet Trung will perform the typical work of musician Trong Bang: The One Who Brings Joy and works by Chopin, Schumann... The program will take place at 8:00 p.m. on April 21 at the Hanoi Opera House.

The special programs and plays, elaborately staged and rich in artistry, were performed from April 18 to 30.

In addition, the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet also performed the program "Spring of Reunification" on the evening of April 29, at the Independence Palace, Ho Chi Minh City on an epic stage combined with contemporary dance.

People's Artist Xuan Bac - Director of the Department of Performing Arts - said that the nights of bright lights performing art programs of the units are an opportunity for the audience to enjoy many attractive art performances, demonstrating the meaning, great stature, and great value of the Great Spring Victory of 1975, completely liberating the South, unifying the country in the history of building and defending the country of our people.

The Director of the Department of Performing Arts said that, implementing the policy of internationalizing Vietnamese culture and Vietnamizing international culture, the performing arts industry is making efforts to create products that contribute to the development of the cultural industry. The art programs of the units on this occasion, besides the goal of preserving and promoting traditional culture and arts, also aim to develop tourism, promote and disseminate traditional Vietnamese art forms to domestic and foreign tourists.
