Attending the congress were Standing Deputy Secretary of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung, Secretary of Ha Tinh City Party Committee Duong Tat Thang and representatives of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Tinh province and Ha Tinh city.
During the past term, the Ha Tinh City Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations have focused on propagating, mobilizing, and gathering people from all walks of life to implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws; promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle.
Emulation movements and campaigns have had new developments, oriented towards the people with many creative approaches and effective models.
Promoting the spirit of democracy, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Tinh City has encouraged people of all walks of life to respond to patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, especially in building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, social security, and building a clean and strong Party and government.
In the past 5 years, the City Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations coordinated to organize 1,019 propaganda campaigns on building new rural areas and civilized urban areas with 423,110 participants; mobilized people to donate 35,893m2 of land, worth nearly 90 billion VND, and participated in 92,099 working days; built economic models, renovated household gardens, flower roads, green fences, model gardens, and model residential areas.
The special mark of the Fatherland Front of Ha Tinh city is the effectiveness of the Movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind". In the past 5 years, the city has mobilized to build a fund of more than 5 billion VND; renovated and upgraded 315 houses for poor households, with a total support of 21.8 billion VND; supported medical examination and treatment, unexpected difficulties, visited and gave gifts to 4,597 subjects with a total amount of nearly 2.7 billion VND.
Member organizations have secured bank loans for more than 12,000 union members with a total outstanding loan balance of VND 308.4 billion; established 150 savings groups;... contributing to the city's sustainable poverty reduction results. By the end of 2023, the poverty rate will be 1.22%, and the near-poor rate will be 1.78%.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Tinh city also joined hands to effectively implement the goal of sustainable poverty reduction. The total budget for social security work was 49.2 billion VND; supporting 15 livelihood models for poor households; supporting the people of Türkiye and Syria to overcome the earthquake disaster with an amount of nearly 500 million VND;...

In the 2024 - 2029 term, the Ha Tinh City Fatherland Front Committee continues to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation. In the new term (2024-2029), the unit sets a number of targets to strive for in the 2024 - 2029 term:
Strive for 100% of cadres, union members, and members of member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front from the city to the ward and commune levels to thoroughly understand the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.
Every year, propagate and mobilize each commune to build 1-2 model residential areas; each ward to build 1-2 model residential groups; over 98% of households achieve cultural families, over 60% of villages and model cultural residential groups, over 95% of agencies, units and enterprises achieve cultural standards.
The Fatherland Front and the city's socio-political organizations each year build at least one new "Skilled Mass Mobilization" model.
100% of poor and near-poor households in the area have access to social security programs, the "For the Poor" Fund mobilizes an average of over 1 billion VND/year;...
Speaking at the congress, Secretary of Ha Tinh City Party Committee Duong Tat Thang acknowledged and commended the achievements that the Ha Tinh City Fatherland Front had achieved in the past term.
In the coming term, the city's Fatherland Front at all levels is requested to promote its role and responsibility, strengthen mobilization, gather the people, and build a strong national solidarity bloc. Continue to thoroughly grasp Ho Chi Minh's thought and the Party's guidelines and policies on building a great solidarity bloc; Resolution of the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee on continuing to promote the tradition and strength of national solidarity, building our country to be increasingly prosperous and happy.
Take care of building the organization and training the staff; proactively grasp the people's situation to advise the Party Committee and coordinate with the government in providing information and orienting public opinion.
Effectively organize the implementation of the Regulations on social supervision and criticism of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, select issues of great public concern for supervision and criticism. Collect and listen to opinions and recommendations of voters and people to reflect to the Party Committee and competent state agencies.
Continue to further promote the role and position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in consolidating and strengthening the great national unity bloc, focusing on innovation, creativity, promoting democracy, enhancing social consensus, and implementing great unity in each agency, unit, residential community, and the whole society.
The Congress consulted and elected 50 members to join the 20th Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Tinh city, term 2024 - 2029 and consulted and elected 15 members to join the delegation to attend the 15th Provincial Fatherland Front Congress, term 2024 - 2029.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Danh was re-elected as Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Tinh city, term XX, 2024 - 2029.
